A Green Mamba awaits India at the Eden

The news is out and the pitch at Eden is a green Mamba.With no Pandya, will India play 3 seamer and 2 spinners and only play 5 batsman and a WK.

 

Or will they drop a spinner to play 3 pacers and a single spinner.

 

Seems India is looking to practice for SA conditions.

I think they will opt for the latter. Ashwin, Shami, Umesh and Ishant/Bhuvi.

Probably the best tail amongst all teams currently. The English tail is pretty good too but not outside England.

Bumrah should have given a chance here. I think he will be a better test bowler than Bhuvi who according to me is a LOI bowler.

Ishant needs to play now and its important to see where he stands. Ishant has been dangerous on helpful tracks in past . 

 

Keeping Sa tour its important to see where does ishant stand currently- his form , fitness, rhythem

kolkatta Pitch has been a long time favourite of SHAMMI and DINDA-

 

Both these guys have bucketted and Shared wickets in Equal.. if i remember Dinda was taking more wickets than SHammi too on this ground( not sure this ground or the Kolkatta Pitch) 

 

Please read this Post when you see Shammi taking a fifer ......i am predicting this before the Match has started.

Umesh and ISHANT/BHUVI will not be much behind. 

NOTE:- Atleast three batsman will get hit on this track as probably there would be a lot of short pitched bowling done.

 

But Yep Brave and correct decision to play on this pitch and give lanka fair CHANCE ..winning the match with jadeja,kuldeep and ashwin would have been truly boring..now SHAMMI may be the MOM of this Match.

Kudos to the Selectors for instructing a GREEN Pitch- reason.

 

1. BIG Test for Our Batsman too and kinda a dress rehearsal for Africa...we will come to know technique of Batsman against PACE as on this Pitch Lankan Bowlers will also look Dangerous.

 

2. GIve good Exposure to Our fast bowlers as they are going to bowl a lot in AFRICA with only one Pacer.

they Should Pick 3 or 4 Pacers and One Spinner as it is definitely a PITCH in which Spinners hardly get to bowl much.

Shami, Umesh and Bumrah would have been our ideal pace attack on a green mamba, but alas !
