Congress not learning from its mistake appointing this joker again for PM candidate.

They don’t have any other options. The party might disintegrate under any other leadership. Also if they don’t project RaGa as PM Candidate, there could be possibility of another power Centre emerging which the Gandhi’s can ill afford at the moment with RaGa taking lots of time to establish himself and Soniya has health issues...

BJP will definitely like this development as it will like to keep on taking advantage of the RaGa not matching up to Modi...

However other opposition parties won’t like Congress to be in a too dominant position in their future alliances. Congress will have advantage of its pan India reach in various states. There will be lots of “churning” in the opposition alliances.

After Karnataka elections there were doubts raised by various opposition parties regarding RaGa leadership and future... This is Congress’s way to assert itself.

Also lots of this is to dispel any doubts about leadership within the Congress cadres and to keep them motivated...

This announcement is confusing, if Congress and others going to form grand coalition before elections then how likely are coalition partners going accept RG as PM face ?

will anyone of Akhilesh, Mayawati or Mamata settle for this, play second fiddle?

The question should be will the allies accept him? What has Rahul done better than likes of Mayawati, AY, Gowda etc? He has done nothing in reality. But nobody in media asks such questions.

Exactly, I am not sure if this announce is arrogance or a mess up,

nice way to alienate allies before discussion

though would love to hear Mayawati or Mamata utter:

“yes we are part of this alliance, and fully

support Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for PM”

Modi will be like :hysterical:

It’s not confusing... There’s a great one upmanship going on among the opposition parties. Congress is expecting a win in Rajasthan (The current CM has badly screwed up law & order, public generally fed up) and C’Garh too. So it’s expecting atleast 4 big states under it’s belt which will give them a dominant position in any “Mahagathbandhan”...

On the other hand, other regional parties don’t see any future under RaGa leadership and actually anticipate loss. But the problem is BJP constantly keeping focus on RaGa...

In coming days there will be lots of positioning by various parties, based on some important state elections.

Now BJP can play a trick by calling early general elections along with state elections. Then BJP might save Rajasthan as public tend to vote same party in both the elections...
