SK_IH
Don Bradman's team is the only team to have won from 2-0 down, Australia's 3-2 win in 1936-37 Ashes. Is that something you're going to tell the boys, because it is huge, the relevance of this victory... 1936-37, I wasn't even born man! Why are you reminding me of '36-37? One match at a time, we live in the present, okay? One game at a time. Nottingham is over. There's a break and we move to Southampton and start afresh. Take a fresh guard. 2018. Now we suppose we lose this series 3-1 or 4-1 ,no one will remember this game as a great one I am sure !! If we lose 2-1/3-2 or get back 2-2 then it might be termed as one of the greatest comeback . but still this is not a good England side (result speak for itself ) ranked #5 ,even pakistan and Windies won test matches here so winning a test match (whatever the situation) for a #1 team isn't anything special in cricketing terms. The greatest comeback by our side was perhaps in Perth.done and dusted ,Australia on a 16 match winning streak ,whole crowd and media against us and then we turned it around ! Gollum
He tells the same thing every time we win overseas. Now extra incentive because he can take some credit, effing asshole. if we come back and win the series he will thunder a lot Link to comment

GolGappe
In terms of effort, I rank Adelaide above all. Australia got a massive first inning score. India's top order crumbles. Epic partnership between Dravid and Laxman. Once in a lifetime spell by Sir Agarkar. And tricky 4th inning chase well-shepherded by Dravid. Gollum, Mosher, Sgattick10 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Frankly I wouldn't rate that Adelaide win too highly. We played that series without McGrath/Warne and that is a big factor. IIRC, an unknown player like Brad Williams and odi specialist Nathan bracken played in that series along with Lee. raki05 1 Link to comment

Lannister
Even since media started to question the team management, they come to press conference one after the other to take advantage of this win. We all know you did jackshit as this win is entirely due to Kohli's never-say-never attitude and the talented players he is leading. Anything less than a series win, fire all their asses. It was won against an ATG batting line up. A drawn game can be downgraded for poor bowling. But winning against ATG batting line up is great achievement. GolGappe 1 Link to comment

Warne had one decent series against India but normally our batsmen feasted on him and he was hardly a factor in India-Australia test series. Additionally, India were without Zaheer Khan in second test match. He'd a first innings 5-fer in first test of that series. You can't ignore the batting line up Australia had in that test match : Langer, Hayden, Ponting, Waugh, Gilchrist, Martyn, and Katich. That was a special and hard-fought win. Link to comment
