Whats the point of Kedar Jadhav and Shardul Thakur?

Recommended Posts

Also, I believe Thakur is saving Bhuvi's spot till he gets fit. Team management has this strategy. They wont let Siani settle and claim a space. Just like Rahul was moved down and forced to keep to save Dhawan's space and why they are not giving a proper keeper a long run to have an option of Dhoni comeback. This TM has this strategy for their favorite players

If they were looking at manish pandey this is the time to give him chance.....6 ODI will be good for him and good assessment of him as well. Jadhav has no future

Can't play a specialist batsman at 6. #6 must have a secondary skill in bowling and a big hitter. Pandey is none. Pandey is a #4 batsman. Need to look at either Surya or Nitish Rana. Both big hitters and can bowl.

thats what i have been saying all along but now that TM is looking at manish for that role even in T20 where batting that low doesnt even that much balls to bat then give him chance in ODI

Im going by TM logic....if they have identified pandey for 6 in t20 then give him time in ODI where atleast he ll get more balls

Rana , surya is not even on radar.....im purely going on how TM is planning. Who ever they mark give him games n time .....right or wrong will be proven further .

Im pretty sure Once pandya comesback Jadeja will bat in top 7 with pandya solving no.6 bowling option

The CSK lobby for Shardul is going to stay for a while. The disease has also spread to U19, with Draivid the bhaand including that anemic kannada weakling V Patil over a deserving Purnank Tyagi.

U_19 team is coached by mhambrey not RD

I hope Pandya doesn't become No. 6. He's good for 7. Jadeja needs to be gone.

True that. Pandya at 6 means he needs to be more consistent with bat and needs to qualify based on batting merit alone who can bowl few overs. He can't be a bit of batting and bit of bowling and retain a position at 6. That works fine for T20 given that he can score a wyickfire 20-30 but won't work for ODIs on a consistent basis unless he really upgrades himself to a Grade A all-rounder like Stokes or Shakib. We should really try Pant or Pandey at 6 on ODIs  for next 5 matches. Play one of them purely as a batsman if needed with 5 of your best bowlers. And Thakur does not qualify in that 5.

Shardul is one of the worst pacers to get so many chances in our side in the last 5 years.

He is a 2000s decade type Indian seamer playing  in the 2020s decade with so many better quick bowlers around.

Travesty. !

Calm down he played 9 odis, that is not too many chances. What has Pandya done to play  54 matches, when was the last time he scored a fifty?

Kedar did a good job today.  SR of over 150. It's coz of him that we reached 347. Why blame him right now ?  Regarding Shardul. Yes he should not hv played ahead of saini. Coz saini can also slog a few balls like Shardul . And saini is a better bowler than shardul any day .

Pandya bats at 7 and there his job is to score quickly.

Batting at no7 does not mean you are not allowed to score fifty. He is batting at no7 becuase he is not good enough to bat at no5 or no6 consistently and score big runs.If he becomes a capable number 6 then India will take giant leap forward but is it happening.

Pandya at number 7 was a must because Dhoni was useless now Dhoni is not here and will Pandya become number 6 is the question?
