Agree with Bhajji. Like I have said earlier, if are really to show stance against pak, then cancel everything against them, even if it comes back to bite us and hurt us. Why just bother playing agaisnt them in ICC tournament.  This shows we are not serious about our stance. Yes it hurts us, but this is not how you react when you want to make a statement. Either cut all the ties or play aginst them in bilateral series also.

If we are ready to not tour south africa, because they did not vote for us, and that tour will also hurt our ranking, then why not boycott against pak in ICC events also? Yes, everyone knows it is going to hurt us, but then it will hurt those military folks also who are at the border fighting for their lives.

You guys always bring the same point how our military personnel are going to feel hurt if we continue to play against Pak but what happened now, so it is fine to play pak now and our military would be fine with that?

And where are few folks who were saying we will not watch india vs pak or ICC CT because we were badly treated by ICC?

I hope you do not watch India participate in CT, and let tournament suffer tv ratings because you really did not want this participation of India since ICC did not treat us well.

Our people in the country say big things bur when real time comes, they back out.

Boycott all the games against Pak or play all the games against Pak. As simple as that.

Why?

India should do what is beneficial. Dont play bilaterals or multi-laterals so that you don't help PCB make money and pay taxes. Play ICC tournaments so that team India can have a chance to beat them and advance. Simple and sound logic.

who the * cares what amir sohl thinks. India should not play pak in bilaterals and multilaterals. India should play them in any ICC draw to advance in the tournament. Its a good logic , it pak*s have a problem with then its even better, India should do it more.

But what about jawans being sad that india is playing pak when they are fighting on border . I hate that excuse when people bring that up.

There are 1.3 million army and 1.4 million CAP in India thats 2.7 million troops some one can be sad somewhere does not mean anything. Besides a jawan could be sad because of many things, totally unrelated not our issue to resolve now. If some jawan is having sufficient time to be outraged by India playing pak in an ICC tourny then let him be outraged till the game gets over and then be happy again. Primary point here is India will do what is beneficial to us, and if Pakistani people have a problem with it they can go $%^& themselves cause certainly no one from India gives an f about it.

Jawans are far to busy . They are fighting a war out there.

It is a symbolic gesture of being united .

Cricket is religion and such symbolic gestures help.

Bilaterals are played between people who are on good terms...not between people at war .

Playing them in icc tournament is like a 'majboori' because we don't want to lose points.

It is something like....you won't call your abusive neighbor to your kids birthday party because it doesn't make sense.

But you will attend the wedding of a friend even if your abusive neighbor is also invited. Why should you lose out on the wedding party.

I got your point and understand the whole thing and not totally disagreeing with you.

Here is how I see it.

I just believe this whole situation is see. differently because in India people don't give a damn about test matches but do give care a lot about ODI and world tournaments, hence I shared the south african test series example thar how people easily say that pulling out against south africa after Haroon Lorgot drama is fine even though that series will cost us points, however not playing against pak will cost us points too but will hurt us more as it is a world cup like event, and hence people are all for playinging against Pakistan now here.

For me its same as I am big test fan and pulling out from saf series is as bad as pulling out against Pakistan is in a odi tournament.

Pulling out because of  issues with board or some official is not on.Not playing someone is a serious issue and should not be used lightly.

Here it is the question of Pakistan directly indulging in terrorist acts against our country. There is nothing more serious than that.

While I have my own issues with the Pakistanis about the bowling paces and about tampering issues, I absolutely stand by what Bhajji, Azhar and Sohail suggested. I am pleasantly surprised with Bhajji taking such a strong and righteous stance and also validating it by quoting relevant examples.

One must not forget that even if the 2 countries are fighting, the general public is not our enemy. Cricket is a game, let us not co-relate it with war.

One needs to be objective and rise above the fake feelings of nationalism and stuff which our corrupt politicians force us to do, manipulate us to do. Why is it that one politician can make a pitstop in lahore and karachi, attend weddings and birthdays at the top politician of pakistan's place and its still ok? And players cant play cricket? Aren't the soldiers more hurt by the head of India drinking tea with the 'so called enemy', rather than a virat kohli shaking hands shoaib malik?

You decide!

Agreed. Two different issues. People just went too overboard when the whole south Africa thing came and bcci not getting votes and compensation.

You don't understand anything. It is not BCCI that is not playing against Pak at home but Indian govt. doesn't give permission to hold an Indo-Pak series. Govt has no control over a match played at a neutral venue. So, there we play against Pak. It is not a BCCI stance to  not play Pak. It is Indian govt stance to not have series with Pak at home. BCCI did play them in 2012 at home. Since then, govt is not allowing that.

You did not even read what I wrote. We are not even talking about Bilterals or playing against them.

I have only raised one issue, and that is to keep your stance same whenever it comes to Pakistan, either play them everywhere or don't play them anywhere. Here what government is saying or bcci saying doesn't matter. As we are discussing the views of general Indians who feel that there should be no cricket against pak. Here safety isn't even the topic yet.

What a silly comment that rofl. If government had control then they would stop India from playing?

Crazy thought. That means government is crazy to let Indian team hurt by forfeiting the game and points in the tournament.
