MS DHONI WORKIND HARD TO REGAIN OLD TECHNIQUE AND DOMINANCE OVER BOWLERS

MS Dhoni has admitted that he has changed with time always and the once feared finisher has seemingly lost his touch in the last overs and now the job is passed on to the likes of Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya.
However, we got to see something odd during the preparation for RPS vs DD match. MS Dhoni was in candid conversation with team’s performance analyst Prasanna Agoram and both discussed his technique at length.
After his teammates had finished their nets sessions, MS Dhoni walked with Prasanna Agoram to the middle with a camera and set it up behind the bowling stumps. After some time, the camera was moved behind the batting stumps. All this was done on capturing Dhoni’s bat swing and trigger movements.

Dhoni admitted,” I’ve been working on it for a while. I’m basically trying to work on getting myself more upright in my stance. I noticed that the head is bending over a little and is not in line with the front toe.”

Time waits for no one. After CT India needs to blood Pant and play him along with Dhoni so he learns as much as possible about handling wkt keeping along with batting at a high level. Need to ensure Pant is entrenched in wkt keeping role and is an established batsman to boot by the time WC rolls in 2019.

He has been saying for a long time now that he wants to go back to playing freely and dominating bowlers. Yet to see that in action. It will be very difficult for him to go back to the way he played during his early days.

Dhoni and technique in the same sentence :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Here.

When you say technique, it can mean anything. Federer has his own technique on backhand and Wawrinka, the greatest back hand player ever has his own.

Sehwag had his own technique to play the drive and Sachin, Kohli, Amla, Ponting etc their own.

As long as it is working, who gives a damn. Orthodox or unorthodox.

The current no 1 test bat has no technique and he is still no 1. :giggle:

Like they say performance matters not technique.

He can play as long as he wants to play.He is still enjoying his game.Thats more important.

He still runs like a youngster, he has the best WK, there are no ready made wk in the domestic, he brings the moolah.

Let him play till he enjoys the game :two_thumbs_up:

He is one of the most honest cricketers. In that crunch game against South Africa, He captained the side.  Kohli was coming to him almost end of every 2 overs.  He was working his magic and was effectively visible in bowling changes and field placing. It was nothing but Dhoniconda at it best resulting in complete choke Africans.

I am certain that Lankans wont have chase 300+ score if Kohli had regularly approached Dhoni. Nothing can surive Dhoniconda grip. He is not just great cricketer, but oneday he will make a master coach too, who will plan and execute a win to perfection.
