Indian captain's reaction to fans still dedicatedly supporting the team

Ravi Shastri isn't a very bad choice given that if not him we were about to get Sehwag.  If results are good then its fine. But it has set a bad precedent for future. Captain is a dicatator in our setup is the message.

Didnt watch a single min of WI series after CT. I think the Kumble saga with Kohli acting like a dick and now Ganguly and RJS acting like bigger dicks..it is leaving a bitter taste in the mouth. Glad Kumble is out of this mess. ZK and RD should also keep out.

This whole VK power trip saga is making cynics out of a lot of dedicated fans.  And rightly so.   Its a perfect storm of a new captain, a righteous ex-coach, and BCCI babus running around like headless chickens due to the SC fiasco.   That has truly exposed the level of politicking that's going on.

I am done with Indian cricket. Started watching tennis and hockey more religiously thanks to the nepotism, corruption, lobbies, Bunty Sajdeh, Kumble-Kohli saga, BCCI-CA-SC b__chodi, in fact the entire  Indian cricket system. Mostly here on ICF for chit chat and political news. Last time I stopped following cricket was after 0-8 under Dhoni and before that after 2007 CWC. But on both occasions the test series in South Africa brought me back to support Team India. Hopefully this year's RSA tour has a similar effect on me.

Not just the Ravi Shastri selection, a lot of other things - Continued recycling of players, not playing talented youngsters, trying to take control of everything Cricket, giving importance to buddies than for talent, etc.

 

Some of these were also there towards the end of Dhoni's tenure but Kohli seems to have taken it to another level.

india has been promising in badminton...have won olympic medals in the last two olympics in Saina/Sindhu.  Srikanth just won the open series.  India already a powerhouse in kabaddi.

 

Football, India has a long way to go.

Kohli will soon realise that captaincy of Indian team is nothing like captaincy of RCB where you don't give results and people won't bat an eye. 

 

Cricket in India is raison d'être for many and you can't treat it like your personal buddy hangout club. Hope you realise it soon Captain aggressive.

The sad thing is we know that india have a team capable of reaching semis or better in icc tournaments even without playing well. Its only missing a few key players to start dominating and winning some of these trophies. But kohli and the selectors are wasting so many valuable matches giving chances to guys like rahane kartik and jadeja. Its a joke. Jadeja derailed so many campaigns and when they finnaly find an allrounder to replace him this brillant think tank play him as a specialist bowler while chahal is sitting at home. Its just makes no sense.

replacing cricket is impossible.. its decent job if other sports manage to survive

actually Kabbadi - we flog the world , only Iran is close. 

 

Football - we have raised some 20 ranks under 99-100 now i guess - still poor team but in right direction - ISL is fun with lots of internationals and city rivalries.

 

Boxing - have medalists - pro's decent - wont be of great interest to me personally i am a UFC guy.

 

Badminton - not interested personally - but Indians are very very good at it lots of phenomenal players. New payers winning world championships all england now and then.

they score 2-3 goals on average in 90 mins which is very less ..

i use to follow PL , but now completely stoped follwing

Succesful in competition is different than success in the following. India has done well in those sports , it's a shame they do not garner the same level of following
