.... TBF we all did complain when he was dropped from the NZL T20 series

M happy for his selection im t20,its  the word preserve is baffling me.

He shud have been in odis  for starter , ok one mistake but benching him when a ranji quater  final is on is bizzare. He is fighting with dhawan for a slot so let him also score big scores and punch his weight. 

 

How wud our domestic cricket be competitive if better players dnt play. Thakur is injured, iyer , rahane, manish wud not be avl and now rahul is preserved and not released for ranji games . A strong and competitive domestic structure produces better players

I don’t think even England and Australia do that anymore..when a player would go in the middle of their series for county commitments.

 

Pretty sure Rahul himself would want to play international games and cash in against this mediocre side than go and play Ranji...not like Kohli will be super impressed with his Ranji performance and play him ahead of anyone...Kohli will only do what he feels like.

 

Our management is a different animal...you can apply logic and common sense...by how things are happening,from Rahul’s perspective this is better.

 

Also the guy is very injury prone...he will score a 300 in Ranjis and before the South African series will be down with dengue,malaria,loose

motions,blood motions etc etc.

Pant will win his first Ranji Trophy as captain and make it to Indian Test for the next test series, just like how Gambhir came to Indian testside after winning 2007 Ranji. Gambhir to retire after this Ranji season.

Loved the phainty Kar gave to traditional rivals Mumbai. We always had a domestic rivalry Kar is #2 to Mumbai in RT history. One of the weakest Mumbai teams, Kar was also missing Pandey and Rahul. If they are not playing in ODIs, they should be released to play in Semi-finals at least, no point in benching on non-consequential SL ODI/T20 series. It's a huge morale boost for the state team esp if they reach finals! 

 

Jai Ambe! Jai Karnataka! Now, go beat Vidarbha just like Mumbai.. This is a fight for Belguam!
