he went past other legends like Pollock and Vaas.

Dhoni certainly is the best batsman of the three although pollock would give Dhoni a run for his money based on his current form.

Don't ever do that.  Pollock is easily the best batsman of the three. ;)  Also a legend who was overshadowed by Donald. In talks of legends why does dhoni slip in?

131* not outs so far :hail::hail::hail:

16 in tests

77 in odis

38 in T20s ( out of 86 games :woot: )

Brillant :isalute:

Need stats for how many times he hit last ball for 4 or 6 to finish off the match.

More detailed winning hit stats in ODI(as per the public demand and because some people are getting triggered :phehe:)

Players who have hit most sixes as winning shot in ODIs

9 times - MS Dhoni :hail::hail::hail:

4 times - Flintoff, Hussey, Lara(Stats before 2001 not included)

3 times - ABDevilliers, Afridi

2 times - Lots. Current players include Kohli, Bhajji, Faulkner, Mushfiq Rahim, Shoaib Malik, Eoin Morgan

Overall, Dhoni has now hit winning/tie runs 42 times in his career

  • ODI - 29 times(out of 44 times he stayed not out while chasing in wins)
    • Finished with a Six - 9 times
    • Finished with a Four - 9 times
    • Finished- other - 11 times
  • T20I - 10 times(out of 14 times he stayed not out while chasing in wins)
    • Finished with a Six - 3 times
    • Finished with a Four - 3 times
    • Finished-Other - 4 times
  • Test - 3 times(Out of 4 times he stayed not out while chasing in wins)
    • Finished with a Six - 1 time
    • Finished with a Four - 2 times

That is winning a match with four or six - 27 times. :hail:

All of these are records in themselves unless otherwise proven. :phehe:

What a legend :hatsoff:

Pollock is a better test bat than Dhoni for sure but yes LOIs Dhoni is better

The most important fact is that single handed one man has kept so many talented people from playing for the team. That is a record.

On a serious note if Shastri has any shame he will rest the grandfather and let Karthick play three games as wkt kpr/batsman. This is injustice to Kathick for all the hard work he has done.

What a loser

After winning the ODI series in England in 2014, Dhoni went on one of his worst runs as captain. Not a single series won (home or away) as captain until the T20 series in Australia in 2016.

That's like 7 continuous series(including WC) lost in a row. Is that also a record Dhoni has set?

Probably. Remember that t20 against Zimbabwe we also lost becuase dhoni wanted to stay not out. We won the series anyways but that was a bad loss against a lowly team. Not once but twice axar Patel put dhoni to shame :cantstop: #gujju power

:isalute: Now tell us how many times sachin got out to trudlers.. Bet it's somewhere between 90% to 99%.. :giggle: He used to deny singles when Styen used to bowl to other batsmen..
