Like not to piss on anyone's parade... his double hundreds have come against shitty teams like SL, WI and Bang. And one against England ( that too all at home). Not saying its not an achievement, but If he emulates this form in SA/Aus and to some extent in England, then we can say he is on his way to becoming an ATG in tests too ( He is one in ODI's)

He's only had one bad series in England.  Ponting sucked @r$e for 3 series and 10 years before he averaged anything above 12 or so - and even that was pushed up by a solitary 50+ score in 12+ attempts.   

 

Nothing wrong with holding VK to a higher standard, but let's not begrudge him the credit he deserves either.

He has already scored runs in SA, Aus, NZ.
