There is nothing to do with him playing for CSK....do you see Ashwin,Jadeja,Raina or Vijay all ex CSK players getting this divisive opinion? Stop  Being the victim.

The opinions on all of those guys seem pretty consistent...I don’t see them getting any hate.

Infact after Shashank Manohar’s reign, people have changed their opinion including moi over Srini fkin Mama and you are saying Dhoni hate is because of a bias

Yeah there could be some banter regarding franchise cricket  but most dhoni hate comes from his on field shenanigans in internationals.

Lol that made me laugh.

Dhoni has worked hard to maintain his match-ready fitness.. Runs like a boss!!

Haters are going to hate... but who cares... you got keyboard and free time so type it away..

how he picked up speed midway was amazing, waiting for a similar dash with kohli in near future, thats too close to call but my money will be on dhoni

There's a concerted propaganda to show Dhoni being supremely fit implying that he definitely needs to be in the team. What we actually need to check is his hand eye coordination. With age fitness could be maintained but that timing and power often comes down with age. Dhoni would fare poorly in this.

Good post.

If he was, he would not have to put up a show for the camera.

He is a human being. Age catches up .

dude excellent post. what is your opinion on the first game in Dharamshala where concerted propaganda assumed pan national proportions, where SL contrived to show that without Dhoni India would have been all out for 30, they surely schemed to make him score 60 odd and India reached three figures. che che..

Let Dhoni play a finisher role in the actual circumstances. What we saw in Dharmshala or the odi in srilanka where he played well with bhuvi or odd occasions. On current pitches across the world and especially with the odi WC in England and their state of pitches Dhoni could be a big liability even if he is running like  a bolt. He could consider playing 360 degree shots but that too needs lot of hand eye coordination. You would hardly get to see a Thisara Perera or a James Faulkner like players to bowl in the slog overs of a QF or  semifinal in England 2019. You would instead get to play  the boults the starcs Hassan Ali's and the rabadas. I can only imagine Dhoni nudging and rotating strike.

if Dhoni had played for any team other than CSK he will be hailed a national hero with undivided loyalty besides the test fans who would still not rate him much. Thats the bottom-line basically.

You are mixing it all up. What ever non local support that CSK has had, it was because of Dhoni. Had be played in the Sudanese cricket league, people would have still supported him.

None of this has anything to do with CSK. Dhoni was a megastar even before the IPL started.

Sure. You just strengthened my argument. Only way Dhonis considerable following got eroded was because of csk.

It's just a thing of supremacy between fans of Dhoni/Sachin/Kohli. One has to put down the other two to make their favourite star look the greatest. Being in CSK is just an added incentive to make fun of him :P Apart from that, there are fans who really want young blood in the team but Dhoni has proven so far that he's valuable to the team and hasn't stepped a foot wrong behind the stumps. Even I was pissed off with Dhoni for his selections and his captaincy in tests but I have no reason to complain now.

sorry man i do not think so unfortunately it runs a bit deep, look at the comments from bottom dwellers even in this thread, i dont need to put any evidence across. Tamils are not Indians basically atleast from a popular Indian narrative, its very evident. And India has this issue with Kashmir, NE etc to varying degrees. Dhoni is a poor guy who just got caught in this, his pan Indian popularity definitely took a nose dive because of his association with CSK its as expected.

Hate and vitriol? Only for bots perhaps. Do you seriously believe people are biased against TN and Dhoni's popularity nose-divide because he was CSK captain and not because of his own actions?
