Umesh if he is cranking it up in nets but if not than should go with ishant, I know he is mediocre but is also a work horse who I'll give you 15 to 20 overs of good pace. maniac
Shami is usually a slow starter...looks stiff and then gets in the zone...won’t write him off yet. Link to comment

chewy
Speeds were well below 135kph, probably averaging 130kph on song he hits 140kph average and touching 145kph looked tired and lethargic, should have played crucial role in 1st innings, good thing there was a decent fourth seamer (Hardik), Link to comment
mancalledsting
That's the first thing that came to my mind on the second over of day 1...looks a shadow of himself? Surprised management haven't already picked up on this. Link to comment
MK55
He's probably fit less than 25% of times since WC2015. At other times I'm not sure if its the lack of rhythm, injury/niggles or just that he is hesitant to give 100%. His run-up is quite different these days. Link to comment
express bowling
Manoj Tiwary made Shami bowl 40 overs in 4 sessions in the Ranji SF .... and ruined him for this series. Shami does not have the fitness to to go through that workload. I kept pointing out that BCCI should manage his workload in FC ..... but it did not happen. adi B, cowboysfan, Mosher and 1 other 2 2 Link to comment

express bowling
Shami needs to bowl flat out fast tomorrow ...... bowl with his normal pace and bounce Then he will take wickets If this means missing the next 2 tests then so be it . speedheat, Gollum and Mosher 3 Link to comment

Shami has bowled more 130 to 134 k deliveries in this match than he has done in the entire 3-year period of 2015 to 17.... and very few of his trade-mark bouncers. We have seen him bowl while being injured before, ( WC 15, England 16 and Eden 17 ) but he had never dropped pace So, he has surprised me this match. Mosher and speedheat 2 Link to comment

vayuu1
People are saying drop bumrah, I thought he bowled okay, this is his first match so he is going to get better, and he bowled well, I will go with ishant in place of Shami, coz he can bowl long spells as well as bowl good pace. Umesh can loose control fairly quickly. Sent from my vivo 1601 using Tapatalk Link to comment
