HAHAHA THIS LOOKS MORE RUBBISH THEN CURRENT ONE

BEST BATSMAN SHUD GET MORE BALLS IN UR TEAM BEST BATSMAN  ARE COMING AT 4 N 5, I MEAN HOW CAN U MAKE PROPER BATSMANS BAT SO LOW IN T20

HEIGHT OF BEING DEFENSIVE

Easy with the CAPS please.

A lot of 'proper batsmen' do bat at 4 and 5 in other teams ... Rohit and Pollard for MI, Rana and DK for KKR, Yuvi and Finch for KXIP, Billings and Dhoni for CSK etc.

The theory of 'best batsman should get more balls' is flawed because more often than not these batsmen do get out in between, and if they do get out early in the piece it may be game over.

It's also about effective use of your resources. Some batsmen don't have the game for middle order because of lack of power etc but may do well at the top because of new ball and fielding restrictions. They also can bat freely with the assurance that best batsmen in the team are there to take control should you get out.

There's no guarantee a certain strategy will definitely work. So far, RCB went with playing all their aces up front. It hasn't worked. It hasn't worked last year as well. And when it doesn't work you are out of the game very early in the piece. They need to change. They need to be in the game for longer periods while batting. You may not win the game by bat in the first 8 overs but you can certainly lose it.

Not necessarily. It depends on team composition and relative strengths of batsmen in the team.

In 2007, Yuvi was arguably our best T20 bat, and he batted at #5.

In 2016 ...

Gayle

Kohli

ABDV

Watson

Rahul

Mandeep / Sarfaraz / Sachin Baby

In 2018 ...

DeKock

Kohli

ABDV

Mandeep

C Anderson / P Negi

Sarfaraz

2016 middle order was significantly stronger than 2018 and even then some of us thought it was too top heavy and that Watson/Rahul/Mandeep should open with Gayle, followed by Kohli and AB at 3 and 4.

It's not the batting.

RCB has had...

Gayle

Rahul

Kohli

AB

Jadhav

...In the past and they proved that batting isn't enough.

It's something with RCB and bowlers..no matter whom they pick...there always seems to be a hole left.

Strac kept getting injured.

Mills proved useless

NCN injured.

They could never expoilt Badree.

Watson was useless with the ball.

They tried wiese, shamsi etc but all were mediocre at best.

Every team has that one good Indian bowler and RCB didn't.

The pivot around which RCB centered their bowling always came loose.

RCB main problem with their team is they play  in Bangalore which is great batting pitch with short boundaries  so batsmen with less cailbre then Kohli and ABD  can score runs  easily  and also their bowling lacks variation

I think for RCB to be successful specially in Bangalore they need pick a bowler with more variation and batsmen who are good at hitting  on true pitch its good for batting or else try and prepare pitch such that it offers something to bowlers so and as RCB top 4 should be able to handle swing etc while other teams which don't  such skilled top order may struggle.

Errr wrong yuvraj batted at 4

That was South africa this is India , the games yuvraj scorred was in durban where their was movement with pace early on so it got better after few overs.

And yuvraj was always a middle order batsman , u look at ipl stats most in top 10 are top 3 batsman

Rohit scored yesterday when he came in 1st over itself

CSK n KKR have depth in batting rcb doesnt

Kohli game is much suited for top order then the names u mentioned above

thats strategy worked in 2016 and thats their best chance , other wise the team is a problem in itself at best u can do is give ur best player more balls as they will score more runs

simple either give 120 balls to manan or kohli n ask urself who ll score more, manan wont even survive 120 balls

Why on earth will someone give kohli n abdv 20-25 balls

Kohli batted at top n made 900+ runs and abdv also around 600 and they both took the teams to final

Watson failed in middle

Rahul scored in few

But it was kohli n abdv show, coz they got more balls

Kohli has opened in one game only

strategies are made looking at ur own team not the other teams. This team has lot of issue best is give ur top player max bowls coz only they will win u games

yesterday also kohli scored 92, others failed so why change kohli position he scored runs
