Well , it seems we should only let him bat after 42nd over, irrespective of the batting order.  He seemed a completely different player today.

Has a rare abilty to come in and score from ball 1.  I been impressed with him last 12 months and was never a big fan

 

Want tons not the man.  Want someone to come in with 10 overs to go and need 8 an over he is as good as many as ticks it from ball 1 with alomst risk free shots.  Ball is hitting middle of his bat for 12 months now

^^^ what happened to him last game , he was not even able to rotate strike.DK will never deliver if top order fail or leave bigger chunk.He is good only for 20 or 30 and for a specialist batsman who is in the team just for his batting that is not good enough.

Everyone except this bozo MSK wants DK in the team.This is same DK who scored 100 in practice match in CT 13 looking like champion but the moment main matches came, he became useless again.He was useless in England and was one of the main reason why India lost first test .

 

This guy is too nervous when lights are turned on.

We have bigger problems than Karthik.

 

Keep Karthik in squad for world cup, the guy does his role as a finisher well in t20s and in ODI’s. Our problem is that our x-factor Pant is sitting out to Rayudu. Thats not Karthik’s fault.

 

We can easily remove Rayudu and get Gill and Pant in the squad with Karthik as back up instead and make this a stronger line up. 2 of them play in the world cup line up based on recent performances.

lol this guy is classic #7, #8. He takes finisher role seriously, can't have him in there in the middle overs. But, he has to improve his game because even Kedar can finish and can bowl also.

Would be a good idea to promote the allrounder Hardik/Jaddu/Shankar ahead of him if the 5th socket falls before the 40th over

wonder what more DK has to do for now. He has been winning us matches recently. He is very good in T20s and makes him suitable for the finisher role in T20s.

This new karthik can still be utilized at numer 5 as a finisher and pant can take number 6 once dhoni is out. In dk I trust now.

He has a specific skillset and has proved it in recent times. With Dhoni at the top, DK will be needed in the last 10 overs. Pant should be in the squad too and based on the team composition he can be played. Rayudu must be out, that I'm sure of. Guy has that entitled attitude just like his mentor.

Must play at 5 from now on and should improve his innings building a lot. You cannot trust him to get 100+ while chasing.

Which number 5 scores a 100 these days ?? If top 4 screw up very difficult to come back in the match. Expecting number 5 or 6 to play a blinder when everyone in top order fails is irrational. Number 5 and 6 should be able to score quick 30s to 60s if required . That's their role. For number 6, DK is doing a remarkable job.

I am always a big fan of KKD. But we have set the bar too low for a no.6 position. That is why he is in the reckoning. We had guys like Yuvraj, Dhoni, Raina there. KKD has to improve his ability to stay for longer periods and score big when there is a middle order collapse.
