Sad state of affairs when people are disappointed Kedar f****** jadhav isn't in the team

Jadhav is good utility player compared to rayudu so he should have been there. If Jadeja, Umesh, Rayudu and Dhoni can play then surely jadhav isn't that bad to miss squad.

Technically Dhongi, Biriyani, Phast and Talwar should nowhere be near the ODI team. Two wrongs dont make a right

In odis, basic concept is to pack team with batters who can bowl and bowlers who can bat.

But current team has none. Bhuvi, KD, Pandya, Kedar Jaddu, Pant + top 3+ Bumrah+ One good bat ( Shaw/Rahul) will make a decent team

Looks like a fitness question. He will come back from Manish Pandey in the Aus series. Pandey in the ODI squad is looking more and more like Dinesh Mongia of 2003. Nobody including himself knew why he is in the squad

Pandey was highest run scorer in a 'A' series against Australia. But it's a mystery how Jadhav came back to the team without doing anything.

Vijay, Karun and now Kedar, many voices of dissent coming out which clearly indicates there is no communication happening between players and TM/selectors. This seems the most inept and unprofessional TM/selectors combo in a long while

Jadhav's fitness can ditch the team anytime in crunch situations in big tournaments,

Had it been any other team they would have cashed in Jadhav's cramps

Jadhav does give you sixth bowling option but he can break down any moment be it bowling,batting so wise decision to look beyond him but in the same way they should have kicked out dhongi,stale biryani,jaddu ,umesh

1)    Last time Shardul was cleared by the NCA a short time after injuring himself, he got injured again.   

......  Jadhav has been unfit for the last 7 months. Makes a lot of sense to give him some more time and monitor his fitness.  Could not stay fit for one full tournament after coming back after 5 months.

 

2)   As Jadhav has become injury prone ...  we need to create backups.  Not including Jadhav would allow us to test Pant as backup for the No.6 slot in all 5 matches.  This unbroken run is needed.

 

...... Only issue is ... he is not providing the 6th bowling option although he can be an ideal No.6 big hitter.  This is where TM and selectors have not shown vision.  

 

3)  Jadeja has replaced Pandya and not Jadhav.   Someone like a Krunal would have been so ideal here.

......  Jadhav's replacement is Pant.

 

4)  We should have kept Vihari, Shakar and Krunal in the mix.  We lack backup players who can both bat and bowl.

what we can do is move Dhoni to 4, Pant at 5, and Pandya brothers at 6 and 7.

I mean this is a recent phenomena of cricketers complaining to the media over their non selection. You are just ATHLETES! No one owes you anything. You are here to just play. You get picked if you are good enough and you wont if you arent in form. Simple.

Kedar was asked about his non-selection by reporters after his Deodhar Trophy match and he simply answered their questions. Don't see how this qualifies as "complaining to the media". It's not like he called the media himself with the purpose of complaining to them.

Dhoni cannot bat before 6. He needs to bat low as possible. Haven't you been watching the games the past 3 years?
