Shaw would have been out the same way as Kohli and Rahane.  Flamboyance wont work here.  You need to the innings. top 4 got out playing expansive shots.

Not Parthiv Patel man. Never ever helps. Better to call up Mayank Agrawal and send Rahul back to domestic cricket. Has happened with Irfan Pathan in the past.

I would never root for this move normally. But he is the only one with the team already. Agarwal is not.

Pappu will score good looking 30 at best and not to forget shyte keeping and his fielding isn't the great if Pant keeps the gloves..

Can't see Shaw returning with lateral ligament injury, Rehabilitation from ligment injury takes time,I can't see him playing any test in this series.

There would not be much time left esp since some of these guys are not showing any signs of improvement. I would fly Agarwal in if possible to have him ready for Perth

I will throw another combo in the ring - Pant + Shaw open. Left & Right combo.

good chance both of them will be out within 5 overs. Oz is not the place for loose batting, playing away from the body, driving at everything like a madman, etc.

I know :) Anything they get is a bonus. Serious batting can start after that.

No chance. Karnataka lobby won't let the flop Rahul get sacked. Vijay too won't want Rahul is sacked.  His 2 runs make Vijay's score look better.

If there is one such lobby, then I am Aishwarya Rai!
