Was playing like a school boy, he is not cut for opening job. Agarwal has been comfortable though.

Agarwal was supposed to be one to struggle against short balls.

Even if he plays in middle order, he will have to face the chin music.

He needs to figure out short pitch else will be curtains for him. Raina was way more talented and inability to play short pitch ended his career across all formats.

He was SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE as Opener. Mentally not there.

Dont make him open!!! RS, VK dont make him a bakra!

Shaw and Agarwal should open in future series.

Vihari at #6 give him a run of Tests, if he continues to struggle w/ chin music, then he gets dropped.

'Found him uncomfortable as an opener' 'he was mentally not there'

I found it other way around!!

out of 68 balls he played, he played at least 60 balls in the V from middle of his bat.. Yes he struggled against the short ball, but I wouldn't say he wasn't looking good before he got out. I say give him some more time.

He will be found out and banished forever if he cannot rectify it quickly. I have not followed his FC career, someone might be able to tell if he is uncertain like this with the short ball always or this was a mental block due to shuffling of the batting position.

He has potential, needs to start playing pull shot, had good technique. He has a good technique n looks mentally strong, needs to adjust a bit but looks like a proper test bat.

Marcus Harris, Usman Khwaja and Tim Paine looked very very uncomfortable against short balls.  Got hit and / or got out.    Have not heard a single expert or fan talking about whether they have been found out against the short ball.

As for Vihari, he too does not look comfortable against short balls but he can easily overcome this if he works on this weakness.

Overall ... Vihari has not looked special to me.  But he can still make it in international cricket if he is a gritty person.

I think it's time that we celebrate the selection of non-special players for SENA.  Enough of specials like Rohit, Rahul etc...

That special tailunt is still there and Vihari was sacrificed bakra as opener to protect the special one who will "change the game in a session" and is a whirlwind when batting with the tail

We can only celebrate effectiveness and performances.

He wasn't comfortable against short balls. Got hit at helmet, was somehow ducking other balls.

Dismissed at 140 kph well directed short ball. Has he been found out?
Found out yes. But he is young and can learn fast.
BTW, he blunted the new ball unlike our previous opening pair.
