Will Aus bounce back at Sydney?

Recently, we have not been consistent enough. We do well in one test (peak) and then could hit nadir in the next. Like what we saw in the 4th test in Eng and the 2nd test at Perth. The reasons could be multiple including over reliance on a selected players, who are bound to have an average game after a great one 

 

Currently our team is more like Pujara+Kohli+Bumrah+Shami+Rest. A couple of good balls or loose shots could take the two batsmen out of the game. Do others have it in them to step up this time? After an ordinary game, we can expect a better performance from Aus. Will Aus make it 2-2?

Whether Australia will bounce back in Sydney is not much of a matter. 
India has already done very good job and registered two wins... That's tremendous achievement. They cannot loose this series and retain the Border Gavaskar trophy. This in itself is sufficient to hearten the Indian fans hungry for success in SENA.

 

3-1 will be unbelievable but 2-1 is also good enough for most!

This discussion is about winning the test series in Aus .... can the team deliver to beat the perceived trend  .... not about retaining the Bor-Gav Trophy or winning a few test matches, which we have done it in the past too

I as a fan wont be happy one bit if we went home drawing 2-2 from this position ,Australia are on the mat and their self belief is a reflection of their captains words.just finish them off at Sydney

Well according to Warne ,D’arcy short and Matt Wade are lighting it up at the big bash. So we need to be cautious

 

So far It is pretty much a shoot out between the bowling line ups. Both bowling line ups are on par still.

 

Our batting even though is better cannot be totally complacent.

Unnecessary whinning about pitches from Paine. India has had better luck with the tosses and batsmen made that luck count.

If Australia wins the toss in Sydney, I expect them to be strong favorites to level the series.

Aussies will annihilate us by an innings and 500 runs!! Bewda auss has dried up but in one test it will swell up to the baboon pic I posted earlier, but mods keep deleting it!

Our mindset should be to win. They will have no choice to take risks to come out against us. We should exploit that and turn the tables against them.

Make the first innings count as far as batting is concerned. Bat time and try to put 350+ on the board in first dig.

A lot depends on the toss. India was so unlucky with the toss in both SAF & ENG. So by the law of averages itself   a bit of luck needs to be in our favour. Win the toss and bat first would increase the chances a lot. But other wise, can't see the batsmen capable of earning a substantial lead batting 2nd.

Bats as long as it can. Runs will flow automatically. Conservative approach would work. Aggression could give more probability of winning Australia. Just go there and play calmly.  Agrawal pujara rahane and kohli will have to make sure they play entire one day and all will be taken care by.

Whinging about the pitch conditions when your batting sucks whatever the conditions is such loser talk. Usually the last thing you'd expect from Aussies, which just shows you how far they've fallen.

 

Whether we win the toss or not, we need to twist the knife, go for the kill, etc.

I agree with this. Take it slow and steady. Aussies will panic if the test moves at a slow pace. 2-1 or 3-1, doesn't matter. Losing on the other hand would be frustrating, after coming so close to winning the series.
