BD shines (WC19)

What a performance so far with wins over SA and now on its way to chasing 321 vs. WI. What is exciting about its chase is:

 

• Top order played as per situation to rack up 70 despite having a relatively weak MO (no excuses to play pointless cricket)
• Did not look to take the game "deep" unnecessarily where others are left to chase 9-10 RPO
• Went for the kill like Tigers to register the best chase of WC19

Bowling was pretty bad, but top chase nonetheless.

Tremendous performance. Their bowling looks insipid but batting is one of better ones in the tournament and is keeping them afloat.

Their bowling very below par but credit mashrafe is using it to the best as much as he can

BD moves to 5th spot. Its next two games are against Aus and Ind so if it can continue its good performance, who knows, it could be knocking at a semis berth

On second thought....wi gave away 40 free runs through wides...they only had to chase 280 runs.

Decision to bat him #3 was a stroke of genius.   He's like that bratty kid with talent but not channeled and focused enough.  Giving him the limelight - not the captaincy - but the glare of attention and spotlight, has turned his innate selfishness into fuel for some really high quality clutch performances.  

 

BD playing well this WC - and its not at all surprising.  Here's hoping that unlike WI, Pak, SL, they don't let a flawed Aussie unit notch up another win this WC.  Both WI and Pak, especially WI, gave away opportunities to win against Aus.  BD confidence must be riding high at this point - but their bowling is still a bit weak, and the batting will need to be at the top of their game with skill AND temperament.

I agree that BD should remain positive. Both Aus and Ind are beatable

These guys are getting better and better with every game.. very impressed with their batting performances.. 3-4 guys are chipping in regularly.. 

 

Bangla- Pak game will be fun to watch..
