Top order batters specially Rohit was out of touch still they brought total under the reach.. 100 of last 10 overs are template these days..few days ago we scored 116 in last 10 overs against Australia.. that's why the word intent is doing rounds in cricket circles.. u either loose in the field fighting.. or u gave up the chase displaying defeteast mentality.. Dhoni in his pomp could not chase that target down.Dhoni gets this great finisher roler but look back and see the most matches where he has finished with a win are generally low scoring. He never had ability to score fast via boundaries.

Exactly.... The problem with ms dhoni school of thoughts is when situation demands run a ball then they will bat at around 3 runs per over... Nd when situation demands 10 runs per over with the need to clear boundaries.. they will lay down anchor nd will bat at run a ball..only to hit a few in last over when all is but lost.. need young bloods in this team..will loose games but still they will not loose without any fight..

Dhoni doesnt want Kohli to be a WC winning captain. He wants that glory for himself. He will do what he can do smartly damage Indias prospects while pretending to be the bhisma pitamah of the team

What's your take as an objective Indian cricket team fan?? I love csk and dhoni but just feel his time is up and don't want him to ruin his legacy.. It is flabbergasting to see a legend like dhoni loosing his legacy that bad...U either die a hero or live long enough to see urself become the villain..Quite deplorable to say the least... dhoni has lost it completely.. this is not unique to him.. it has happened with greatest of greats.. happened with yuvraj, ganguly, Sachin et al.. but the problem with dhoni is he stuck around while all other perished under his captaincy.. his current fans are living in his glory days of 2011 world cup.. they just ignore the fact that probablilty of vintage dhoni innings is 2 out of 10 innings.. in other 8 innings he will struggle nd will potentially loose india really bad.. every single person with cricketing acumen can see this fact.. he is just not good enough.. These fans are also equally responsible for being bhakts.. no player can become greater than game nd country.. never ... Sachin was nd is hailed as a god.. dhoni is still encashing on his 2011 worldcup final heroics.. these blind nd moribunded brain fan culture has instilled a sense of entitlement in our players.. they think they are above the game..nd no matter what people will pray nd idolise them ..no accountability..no nothing.. this hero worshipping has done more harm than good to the indian cricket... I can vouch that every dhoni hater once was his ardent fan.. however the writing is on the wall.. dhoni should have retired gracefully 2-3 years ago.. Edited July 1, 2019 by Amit228

See instead of playing nd focussing on games.. looks like whole team management job is to defend dhoni's godawfull cricket.. from kohli to rohit to coaches whole team management is defending dhoni from valid ctricism by giving asinine logic.. that pitch suddenly became a minefield as soon as dhoni stepped onto it.. nd how opponents bowlers were breathing fire nd giving bumrah a lesson on how to bowl in the death.. sighh..
putrevus Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 (edited) Don't blame Dhoni or the boundary, the better side won https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/27097247/blame-dhoni-boundary-better-side-won Where do these clowns get to write this nonsense.Sambit you moron inspite of slow start India. Both teams were very close at 40th over mark and also there was only 10 runs difference between both team when Pandya got out. If Dhoni played his part that ten runs would not have happened and then Dhoni made that 10 runs gap into 31 runs. Better side did not win, Dhoni played a major role in this defeat. Pandya_Power Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 When you have the longest tail among the major contenders, you can't afford to have 2 out of your 5 batsmen missing the power game, being useless in the middle overs, and not having the ability to open. I'm so glad our shortcomings got exposed during the group stage. The onus is on TM now to chalk out a better game plan when chasing and doing away the bits and pieces players. One AR in Pandya is enough, provided the other 6 batsmen do not have limitations and can up their SR at will.

dial_100 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I notice that the perception about cricket, ODI and test cricket has totally been stupefied by that stupid T20, IPL type of cricket. The contemporary indian cricket fans are very unforgiving and have a very short memory. Please be decent in your criticism. Ok let me drop a hint. Warm up game against NZ.
South_Paw Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Funny to see how ICF is so delusional in thinking everyone is against Dhoni. It is the same set of hacks who kept complaining of him during his prime run. Said that he anyhow has and will go after the WC. Guess will not be chased out like Sachin.
mishra Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Suddenly this anti MSD thing when he scored same runs at same strike rate as Pandya could be nothing but deliberate plan of English media and ECB Commies as they See, India as one of hit favourites. I don’t blame fans and journos for falling for it as our chewtiya legends are doing exactly same. Not that I am happy but where the eff were these legends( Sachin included) for past 3 years. These guys are doing biggest disservice to Indian cricket by not supporting the team during WC Pollack and philcric 2
mishra Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) I wasn’t that desperate, but now I want MSD to lift the trophy and kohli to give middle finger salute to Naseer Ganguly Sachin and rest of chewts whi haven’t won anything in their life unless MSD was there Edited July 2, 2019 by mishra Pollack 1

Say Eng scored 25 in the last over, do we plan to score 25 in the last? Chasing teams are expected to be at least around 250 at 40 overs mark. Unfortunately, Ind struggled to go at 6 an over for most part of their inning After 20 overs, Ind needed around 260 in 30 overs, which is an improbably task considering that the wkt was wearing down PS does not mean Dhoni and Jadhav should have batted the way they did. Should have tried to hit or get out. But the top order did set them up for failure Thanks mate for bringing some sense to it Pollack 1

Top order has brought you at the same position as eng were after 39 overs. It just shows that middle order of dhongi and jadhav are napunshak and anyone defending it is dellusioned. This is not how high scoring chases work, I've said it repeatedly! To chase 300+ against decent attacks you need to score quickly in the the first PP, like SRT did vs Pak in 2003 & tried the same in finals vs Oz. All the dumb*s who criticize him for failure in that final totally forget that the game was lost in the first innings itself, our only 0.00001% chance to win it would depend on SRT getting us to another flyer - that's it! You are bound to fail 99/100 times chasing high scores against decent attacks, 9999/1000 times in a WC unless you take the game by the scruff of its neck in the first PP bahubali and mishra 2
-Robin- Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Dhoni fams needs to get out of their delusional world. They are not supporting team india they are supporting a D grade player at the cost of team india.
