Popular Post New guy Posted July 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 2, 2019 This is simply not good enough for any team. Imagine shutting shop because you are 3-4 wickets down at death and trying to protect wickets. There is no way we will survive against big boys on flat pitches and how long will the top 3 and our bowling keep saving us? Pant's inclusion had an immediate impact on the team today and his innings was a big difference otherwise we would have ended up below 300 Vilander, Turning_track, Gollum and 20 others 6 17

sergio04 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Bhaai jb jb Dhoni last 60 balls me se 35 balls khelega to to India will only score 75 at max New guy 1
Pollack Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 It's also to be noted that the only strong team we faced chasing is England. What if we get to chase in finals or semifinals on flat deck. If our opponent is England I am sure they would do any damn thing possible to keep the pitch as good for batting as possible. Adi BB and New guy 2
Vijy Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Bang in contrast made 61 runs in the last 8 overs (from over 40 onwards) with only 4 wkts remaining. New guy 1
New guy Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 Important to note that Kohli has pointed this out in post match conference that we need that extra 30-40 runs in the end after good starts SrinjayDutta and GoldenSun 2
JourneyMan Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 It's ironic that India have gone from flat track bullies to a team that needs juice in the pitch to survive a flat track assault. Rohit and Virat are accumulators, Pant and Pandya can hit 30 odd quick runs. India's gameplan is basically to accumulate 300 runs so that their bowlers have something to defend. If the pitch has something in it they're fine. If not, then its England vs India all over again.

Our tail, of course, is the worst of the lot barring Afg maybe.

SrinjayDutta Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 The wickets will get worse as tournament progresses. I at least hope so.

Hardly what I would call a hard hitter. likes of plunkett, rashid, moeen are genuine lower order hitters. and what about cummins? an avg of 10.4 and a SR of 72 qualifies as a hard hitter? By this logic, I am sure Bhuvi is an even harder hitter.
