Though Bumrah performed beautifully against WI in test series, he should've been rested after a long IPL & WC. Its very sad, hope he recovers soon.

Bumrah missing is a blow, but at home I guess our spinners should make up for it. But why recycling of Umesh again? Why not try a youngster like Siraj?

Based on domestic performances & India-A tours, Siraj should've been tried in the test team about a year ago.

And he was tried in T20s on basis of longer format performance and then discarded. Typical of current team management.

That is what this TM and joke of a captain lack ,vision,why was this guy continuously played since the IPL

Umesh is a run machine ,there is a hoax which claims he is a champ in these conditions

I don't think he'll walk into the xi along with Ishant

Not a huge loss considering Umesh n shami has been terrific at home

But i really hope we give siraj n saini a chance in bang series.....umesh lack of perfomances outside india is basically making him useless for future

With bumrahs action, this was bound to happen. This is why it's important to iron out inefficiencies in bowling actions of young bowlers and manage workloads.

You can protect bowler by giving him periodic rest but other than that you cannot do much.They have been protecting Bumrah.You cannot just not play him at all.

Bumrah has been rested a lot in the last 15 months.

 

Hasn't played any tests at home and missed lots of T20I series too.

Too much rest is bad for a pacer too ... like it was happening with Shami.

Every pacer sustains multiple injuries ... and more than half of them sustain frequent injuries.

 

But with Bumrah, it will be linked to his action.

 

So why have fast bowlers with more classical actions, like Pattinson, Starc, and Rabada been injured so many times. !!
