BC kya din yaad dila diye, but this lineup is incomplete without Dodda Ganesh and Vijay Bharadwaj

IIRC Bharadwaj was the man of the series in the 1st series that he played and then faded away.

I think Dodda Ganesh and gentle giant Kuruvilla were the seamers for one of India's tour to WI in the 90's :phehe:. Thank God we have come a long way from that.

They will provide greentops meaning we have to go in with the 2018 Jo'berg mindset...4 quicks+Pandya. Pant to keep wickets (sorry Saha :((), BK will have to play for his new ball skills and batting. Let Jaddu be in the squad as substitute fielder, but no spinner needs to be played in the XI. Vihari to open like in Aus (horses for courses) and he can bowl a few overs of spin to manage over rate and give rest to quicks. Don't need dashers like Hitman (Boult ), Shaw on green mambas...aim for openers should be to see off new ball spell. Vihari's 15 (70) will be more valuable than dasher's 30 (40)...besides Vihari's main problem is hostile short stuff...won't see that over there, line/length of attack will be like the WC SF :nervous:

Mayank

Vihari

Che

Kohli

Rahane

Pant

Pandya

Bhuvi

Ishant

Shami

Bumrah

Any other combo and we will lose, guarantee.

Rohit played the best knock on an extreme green mamba on our last tour when everyone crumbled. Underrate the hitman at your own peril :)

Also on swing and seaming green mamba  tracks no one in the batting line up is safe including Kohli. Those are lottery pitches

i dnt think it ll be green mambas

these are the scorecards of last few test in Nz....SL n Bang batsman did score runs not collectively but individually....if anything these wkts become good for batting once kookabora looses its shine.

Wud they risk leaving grass against our bowler i doubt......coz then it ll be ishant n bhuvi who ll very dangerous

Nzl is usually a bat 2nd country. The pitches start of as green mambas and then became the flattest of pattas. One bad day in the first innings and then it will be an uphill task.

Remember Mccullum 300 game or recent Srilanka game where they managed to draw after Matthews tuk tuking in the 4th innings.

No love for Vihari :((? He is pure-blood, Hitman is half-blood prince.....

No Rohit is full blood too but lots  of love for Vihari as well :)

He is the designated no.6. Can’t risk a young brother risking his career especially under the current regime opening

Rohit even if he fails is relatively safer before the next ultimatum

Time to upgrade the batting line up further.

Rohit Sharma

Mayank Agarwal

Shubman Gill (A bit unfair on C Pujara)

Virat Kohli

Ajinkya Rahane

R Pant

R Jadeja

B Kumar (Swing with new ball option, can bat decently)

I Sharma

M Shami

J Bumrah

Squad:

H Vihari

C Pujara

U Yadav

W Saha

R Ashwin

Bit unfair on C Pujara, a more attacking number 3 i.e. Viv Richards, R Ponting maybe more intimidating for the opposition.

If India want to become a truly ATG great side a attacking number 3 will be a better bet. Although I still think India will win even if C Pujara plays like in Australia.

Good team..but where is the all rounder..i will go for Noel David as the allrounder cum spinner....he can also field well..also as a back up i need dodda ganesh and thiru kumaran..the reserve batsman should be Jacob Martin and reserve wicketkeeper vijay dahiya..

Sriram can double as a left arm spinner and ajay jadeja can be a medium pacer. venky prasad can hit some lower order runs. Other members you mentioned can be in the squad
