Ankit_sharma03 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 (edited) Please Dont mention Removal of Kohli or Shastri coz that aint happening until Next WC debacle . With Finally BCCI in place i hope some positive things happen in Indian cricket this year Ok Ill start with mine Appointment for Director of Cricket : SA has it, ENG has it now even RCB has it and look how well they did at auction unlike many previous years. Someone needs to be on head of Kohli n shastri who have no accountability and shown lack of vision. Ganguly wud be busy cleaning COA mess and other stuff, Selectors are dhakkan, Coach is a yes man so all comes down to virat and so much on one man plate is not right. Someone needs to be on their head to question SA n ENG test series problems and WC poor planning. Need a strong character like kumble but i dont think that will work out. We shud be open to appointment of a foreign director as well like RCB has done with hesson. This for me is a must.... Pushing more players to go to county- Now that so many players have played for India they shud be eligible to play for counties. Ishant career came on trak post county season, ashwin, rahane, pujara is going regularly now. I want to see youngsters like mayank, shaw, rahul, vihari, nair , nadeem, kuldeep, siraj, saini all going and playing county in next 2-3 years atleast a season of it. With international calendar also some will definitely find time coz now we have diff format players. Its High time that umesh yadav also goes to play county cricket. Even if someone out of favour like uthappa, yusuf goes n plays he ll come back with some knowledge that he can share with our domestic cricketers Indian players playing in other t20 leagues : i understand BCCI concern of market value n neglecting domestic competitions but their can be a solution to everything. Players who are not playing for India n India-A during off season shud be allowed. Leagues like BBL or MSL which clash against our domestic can be avoided but leagues like CPL or natwest blast can be considered. We keep talking about pooran but pooran improved massively by playing leagues around the world. Things can be worked out by having some plan Revamp of NCA- Even though dravid is at it but the sooner it happens the better it is. If IPL franchises are doing better work then get those people to work in some capacity Appointment of better selectors specially one fast bowler in selection panel : Ganguly said few days back that there might be only 2 new selectors coming i hope we get some strong who has an eye for talent and one selector has to be someone like agarkar who understand fast bowling not like madan lal n all . We need selectors who understand modern cricket Captain, Coach , Selectors able to distinguish between format n conditions - The current group of TM cant distinguish between these till now and if they dont anytime sooner this will cost us games. Dhoni Retiring - Kar do bhai usse Retire ab bahut ho gaya. BCCI taking help of IPL franchises- BCCI can learn a lot from IPL Franchises like talent scouting, a players injury management, Off season Prep which sides like KKR n MI are doing better then NCA even foreign players come in off season n injury to take help from MI. IPL Franchises have tons of money and they hire best of the best from world so get those ppl in Play more multi nation tournament : Thank god ganguly is initiating it and its very important for cricket to have competing teams. All nonsense of test cricket dying went for toss when ashes happened as two sides fought very hard. This will also help us mentally in KO situations. Finding time for Zimb type series - I dont knw whats zimb current status but that was one series that excited me as it had so many youngsters and seniors resting or else here our main players dont even take rest against SL. We need to get such series atleast once a year like how it use to be. ay be a series with Afghanistan or Ireland...it ll help those teams as well. Somehow get a solution of this conflict of interest crap - We cant have better selectors or coaches or these great ex-players in some capacity till this nonsense ends To see a new brand of exciting n fearless cricket by youngsters this IPL - i was so happy to see devdutt, abhishek , shaw batting this SMA...i expect something like that in IPL. Indian cricket needs it badly...thats what LOI are for to blood some exciting talent . What would be your expectations ? sandeep Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Disagree on disbanding NCA, and allowing non-retired Indian players to play franchise cricket elsewhere. You seem to be infatuated with the idea that IPL "gets the best people" syndrome. First off the IPL teams are hiring cricket resources using money given to them by BCCI. Second, the "best people" work with the IPL, primarily because they are only required to do so for short stints of couple of months at a time.

Go check rinku singh story how he changed as batsman when he worked in KKR camp off season with abhishek nayar How KKR use to send kuldeep n few more players earlier for fitness n skill training How guys like alzzari joseph come to MI for help during his injury rather sticking to WI staff Even Recently Bumrah n Pandya went to MI physio rather going to NCA These teams are doing something right and if players are complaining about NCA that means problems are there 5 minutes ago, sandeep said: First off the IPL teams are hiring cricket resources using money given to them by BCCI. Because a trickle can become a flood - Indian TV audience is the resource that's driving Indian cricket. CPL, BPL, BBL, etc should not be allowed to mine this resource by hiring a couple of mercenaries. Cricket is a very unique world sport in that, its annual calendar is still not locked down, and a large share of the playing days are still falling under national teams, and not club teams like Soccer. It will take another 3 to 5 years for the Cricket Calendar wars to be settled - and the conflict will still persist. Will the ICC succeed in adding more "ICC" tournaments to the calendar on top of the T20 and ODI WC? What's the future of 'bilateral series' outside of the minimum mandate? How many "multi-nation tournaments will end up being created and becoming regular events? How many T20 leagues will create "windows" in the annual calendar where most good players will be busy playing? IPL is the only one that has this right now. Sending Indian players to the BBL will make those tournaments more 'legit' and allow them similar windows. Like it or not, money translates to power, and if you get complacent and assume that your advantage will last forever, you will end up with what happened to the BCCI 2 years ago in the ICC - BCCI were stabbed in the back by its "allies" and is virtually locked out of all the decision making power in the ICC. As of now, the IPL is the ONLY T20 tournament in the world where the best cricketers play (excluding greenbros - but realistically, that's not missing much). I do not see the need to help another competing league attain that status. Sure, that will mean that a couple of fringe players miss out on "potential development". But that's cost of doing business. And there is no stopping dedicated talent - Pooran is a bad example, because his home board and domestic cricket is in shambles. India does not have that problem. Anyway, the needs of Indian cricket, and all its current and future players, outweight the financial and cricket benefits of a handful of fringe players. Edited December 24, 2019 by sandeep

Our chances are 5 times worse than what they were for the ODI WC - which in reality is a good thing, because we historically do better when not expected to.
Ajju Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 (edited) No way we r gng to win T20 WC at max customary semis exit ll happen ha ha with choking bilateral kings +useless Dhoni 45 Edited December 24, 2019 by Ajju
maniac Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 (edited) Emphasize on real 3d cricketers at the ground level and not the bits and pieces ones like Dube,Shankar,Jadhav etc. Jury out on Sundar England and Aus have encouraged such players over the years. Obviously there will be the odd Mitch Marsh who I think is very talented bat but for example Travis head and Labuchamapgne can make it to the side as batsmen and can be handy with the ball, Starc and Cummins can hold their own with the bat. England have 3 proper Keeper-bats and many more in the pipeline, Joe Root can bowl,Archer and Woakes can bat. Stokes is probably the first genuine non bits-pieces allrounder since Kallis. We are so starved on such cricketers that we are super excited at Thakur's innings or the news that Iyer is starting to bowl. Improve fielding. Our catching has gone to the dogs. Fire the fielding coach. Induct Promising players and Player rotation play players with xfactor at least in meaningless series vs SL,WI and Bangla Increase IPL franchises I understand too much dilution spoils the quality but there are too many good players still not picked that you can make 2 more great squads with just the unsold players. Down the line Have a 2 tier system with IPL with Top 6 automatically qualify and the bottom 2 along with maybe 4-6 other franchises play off season for 2 remaining slots. Screw meaningless bilateral, off season IPL FTW. Improve ground infrastructure Despite all the money, some stadiums still seem to have the 1950's-60's style seating. Invest in grounds, great facilities means more people will watch the game or at least come to the stadiums to have a good time. This is not for BCCI or player's PR because they will obviously want the media in their pocket but Media needs to be more accountable and ask tough questions rather than sucking up to the big stars. Scouting from remote areas 2 of our greatest cricketers Kapil Dev and MSD have come from regions where cricketing infrastructure or the board is not too strong, hire scouts to pick talent. England and WI did not have any chinks in their armor when they were on top for that era, so they would run through the opposition in every game. India on the other hand have quiet a few like middle order, lower middle order, 5th bowler etc. One bad day and we are screwed and that's what has happened. We are more like SA of 90's and 2000's, best team on paper but can easily be caught on an off day. Even though the SA team of that era was way more stronger than this Indian team except in the spin department.
