Best combination of right-hand-left hand batsmen ever playing for same team in test cricket in same time?

In this list I am ranking in order of merit the best right hand batsmen-left hand batsmen combination playing for the same team in same period in history of test cricket.


1.Don Bradman-Neil Harvey

Bradman's statistical record simply placed him on another pedestal and even if playing in later years with Viv or Tendulkar was likely to average over 70 or 75.Harvey was the ultimate crafstmen on a bad wicket who possed as much natural ability as Sobers as a batsmen.




2.Barry Richards-Graeme Pollock

Both geniuses who took domination of bowling to metaphysical regions and batting craft to regions of the sublime.Pollock was arguably more innovative while Barry was technically better.




3.Gary Sobers-Rohan Kanhai

For sheer prowess or creative genius amongst right-handers arguably Kanhai did not have an equal who was batting's equivalent of a Beethoven or Rembrandt.No left hander hit the ball harder than Sobers or surpassed his great consistency.At is best Kanhai traversed regions which even Bradman did not while Gary was the most complete left -handed batsmen ever.




4.Viv Richards-Clive Lloyd

Few batsmen were ever as punishing as them or as impactful.Viv was more the match-winner,Lloyd more the man for the crisis.Viv took imagination to heights of the sublime while Lloyd took batting power to a cresecendo few ever did.




5.Greg Chappell-Alan Border


Greg Chappell was elegance and technical skill personified while Border wast he ultimate man to revive a team from the grave.Greg took batting aesthetics to their zenith while Border was the ultimate epitome of courage.Both at their best against the greatest pace attack of West Indies.





6.Ricky Ponting-Adam Gilchrist

Gilchrist was the ultimate master blaster in turning the complexion of a game while Ponting could also turn games with phenomenal attacking agression.Instrumental in taking Australia to the top of the mantle in cricket.





7.Mahela Jayewardene-Kumar Sangakaara

Mahela was the supreme stylist while Sanga was the ultimate run machine.Both had the inclination for making mammoth scores





8.Javed Miandad-Wasim Raja

Javed was the master in manipulating a cricket ball with his craftsmanship while Wasim Raja was elegance personified and on his day as determined as any great left-hander.Both were masters in a crisis with Raja having the best record in his day against the great Carribean pace attack.






9.Graham Gooch-David Gower


Gower had a sublime touch displaying effortlesness like few batsmen ever did while Gooch mastered the great Carribean pace attack as no English batsmen ever did.





10.Inzamam Ul Haq-Saed Anwar

Both had supreme talent and were equally flamboyant.Anwat was more artistic while Inzy was the greater battler.




11.Sachin Tendulkar-Saurav Ganguly


Tendulkar was closest to the most perfect and arguably the most accomplished of all batsmen while Ganguly was elegance personified.




12.Lawrence Rowe-Alvin Kalicharan

Both batsmen took technical skill and grace to its ultimate height.Natural talent in the league of the bets ever batsmen.

Where are Sehwag and Gamhir, they are better than more than half of you list.Sorry just shows how limited your range .Wasim Raja  makes the list but the greatest opening pair from subcontinent does not make it.
