Next up selectors to be part of team meetings, strategic discussions and having visibility of playing 11. So Kohli and Bewda will slowly see their wings clipped. He wasn't banned but during the match fixing inquiry, he was investigated and while he wasn't declared guilty, he wasn't given a clean chit either. Plus his attitude was considered a negative - laughing while India was loosing a match, etc. So he was given a cold shoulder and dropped when he was just 31-32, never to be picked again. He tried his best to gain some sympathy by pleading his innocence but without success. Global.Baba 1

Won't be shocked if he gets benched or rotated out soon for some silly reason or the other or for no reason at all.

Our cricket politics is going to get more heated this year with guys like Ganguly, gambhir, agarkar pitted against Kohli,bevda, Dhoni...expect Kohli to throw more hussy fits - he's not going anywhere as captain till 2023 WC, if they remove him he will turn team atmosphere toxic and mess things up for new captain...our best hope is to get a better coach than bevda like a hesson, someone who can massage brat's ego while gently steering him in right direction..maybe bevda can be bought off by BCCI with a mega commentary contract to quit as coach?

Don't know much about Chauhan, but I don't think he has been connected to modern top level cricket. Mongia is a tainted cricketer ... best to not select him. Vk1 1

I think they even spoke about NRR when in a bilateral, NRR is usually not a factor on which a series is decided (NRR can be a factor in some cases where a bilateral series is tied say 2-2 with a NR game but only if NRR is agreed to be one of the deciding factors by the board as part of the series playing rules. Also as long as he is on the panel and not the chief selector, don’t think there will be a problem with the Srini influence. At max he will get 1-2 CSK players in and if those players are talented youngsters and not Dhoni/Raina types than I see no problem.
