No, Saha is his #1 keeper in tests, pant will the 'panic button' option in case we lose first test and batting order fails, then knee-jerk reaction will be drop Saha get pant. I think Saini and Jadeja showed great character, as I said one-day cricket in this calendar year is not as relevant like T20Is and Tests. A game where we could have taken chances and capitalised.   It takes just one ball to get out , so no one can say with 100% certainty  But to start with you must make a selection which has a sound reasoning behind it  which has chances of contributing towards team win. ,  . 

 When you select someone over another there should be some sound logical sense behind that move .

 The questions to be answered  :- 

1. Is Kedar  selected over others as he also  backs up as 6th bowler  ?-   Well that is not the case for the last 1 year almost.

2. Is he the young talent who is going to be core player of the future and hence this is the investment for future -  ??  He is 34 + .

3. Is the best player in india  after  VK, Rohit , KL , Iyer  -- ?   Big If   ...

4. Is he one of the best fielder  going around  -- ?

5. Is he in Red hot form of late and hence preferred  -??   - When was the last time he hit a 50 against a good attack ??

 

Which of the above Kedar ticks ??    Not even one .

He often gives back-handed compliments to youngsters when they do well, or praises them insincerely only to drop them like hot potatoes in very next match. Even Kuldeep has decent batting ability, but Kohli is blind to it and can only see Bhuvi, Thakur and Jadeja as his lower order bats. "We want guys to figure out situations on their own" is just lazy way of saying, we just turn up for games and roll with it. Wtf expects u to send messages from dugout, but if u are not discussing such scenarios like tail playing with one set batsmen, or lower order improving their batting...then what is the backroom staff there for? Just carry a physio and massuese and be done with it!

I have no problems with team India losing. The issue I have is the selection of players and the way the team goes about either setting targets or chasing.

 

Did this team really believe it succeeded in the 2019 WC by getting to the semis? It flattered them completely.

 

England, Australia, NZ are teams that are all better than India.

 

On a swinging seaming pitch I would even back Pakistan to smash India.

Captaining the Indian cricket team should be considered as the second greatest honor in Indian society.

 

Its a privilege and Kohli is f**king it up. 

 

To justify a 34 Jadhav selection is obvious that Kohli's best interest is what suits him and is best for him.
