We need fastbowlers who can bat!

Are our fast bowlers the worst with the bat? I can understand 30 plus Ishant and Shami, but even the younger ones like Bumrah are hopeless. Teams like England, Newzealand and Australia have bowlers who can bat decently and that helps them in situations where their top-order gets out for cheap. There has to be a process behind this as you cant all these players just by luck. I believe, its because their bowlers come through good academies and learn the skills of batting at at a young age itself. We also need to include that in our junior training itself.

as already said, need batsmen who can bat.... Pujara.... he has been killing the entire momentum series after series...  others can be forgiven because of them being relatively rookies  . Mayank,Shaw ,Vihari, Pant all can turn to be quality batsmen with experience. That one player in Pujara  is the problem

Tests demand specialists not part timers,first thing which we expect from bowlers is to bowl well and pick wickets 

And batsmen are expected to spend some time in the middle  and put some runs on the board before expecting the bowlers to bail us out from every misery

Only few specialist match winner bowlers can bat well. Jadeja as all rounder in test is working well though for last two years.Ashwin can definetley bat. Those two are certain picks in home test series so we have enough batting for tests in and around our region.

If your bats cant put 300 on board it is bowlers fault. Learn something new everyday.

Our bowlers have been doing very well.It is the batsmen who need to step up and delivery those hard runs.It is easy to score 100s and double hundreds at home against weak bowling attacks.Unless this batting unit scores consistently over 300 everytime they bat they won't win anything.

Saini can bat, though we shouldn't play him just because of that. The 3 seamers currently are better than him by far.

On a serious note we first need batsmen who can bat lol. None of these guys can score an ugly 100 bar Pujara. Nobody has the temperament , shot selection, resolve to stay for longer period.

I think people didnt get what I was saying. I wasnt not asking for full blown batsmen. Just bowlers who can atleast hold bat in a decent way. Look how this lambu muscherchood is taking away the  game from us. SENA teams are achieving this by training their bowlers to basics of batting at a younger age. We need to follow that.
