You post alot stats for other players right? here it is for pujara and his performance overseas. Totally rubbish. One great performance against weak aus and that's all he has done till now. For now he don't even deserves to be in playing xi imo with such performance.

Nah. Pujara flatters to deceive, been around for ages yet not really developed his game or kicked on. Still plays in the same turgid way irrespective of the opposition or match situation. 

 

Questions should be asked about his role & position rather than handing him the captaincy.

Kohli is fine for Tests.. this loss was more on batsmen than on the captain

As of now there is no captaincy material in test side apart from Kohli 

 

Pujara - avg 35 in SENA and every expert around the world is now criticizing him for not converting poor balls into runs that is the biggest issue as captain. Next test we play wud be end of this year so when we get into full test circle again he ll be 33 and he doesnt have great fitness either. The next time we go to SA n ENG he ll be 33-35 with already a question mark overseas. 

Rahane- Inconsistent 

Ashwin- Again doesnt own a place overseas ....also he lacks attitude 

Fast bowlers - cant be risked as captain these days 

Rest most dont have a fixed spot in team forget captaincy

Keep him as test captain.

Make Rahul or Iyer the ODI skipper....not Rohit because by 2023 he may be past it.

Make Rohit the T20 skipper and assign him coming 2 T20 WCs.

Dhoni-Kohli have created a dictator like atmosphere, a newbie captain, learning from them, may continue in such a sphere 

 

Need a captain for the next 2 years, who can change the way leadership is seen by the peers

The test specialists are way too inconsistent. I would have preferred them over Kohli had they regularly performed well in our overseas tours in recent years. Pujara, except last Aus tour, hasn't been scoring big & you need huge scores from your no. 3.

AGREED on no option but Virat for now 

I see him as captain post 2023 in Loi but lets see more of his captaincy this IPL first. In test he needs to 1st earn his spot back n own it as well. Ashwin is a good captaincy problem with is he doesnt own a spot overseas. A captain 1st needs to have fixed slot in XI

Ideally i wud want rohit to captain in loi till 2023 and KL being declared VC.

Pujara would be a shocking choice, if he captains the way he bats India test team will be in bigger trouble. 

 

Kohli the right choice at the moment.

Need 2-3 middle order test bats urgently as we may need to replace Rahane, Pujara, Rohit and may be even Kohli
