Also, lots of dislikes on his other videos as well. It looks like youths are unhappy with JEE exams not being postponed as well as lack of jobs. Modi who is considered as social media king is facing this crisis 1st time in his PM career. Question is - 1) Is Modi slowly losing the popularity he once held? 2) What PM needs to do to win back the confidence of people? Malviya shared several Twitter handles purportedly originating from Turkey which has been twitting on JEE examinations. He added in another tweet, "The rest 98%, like always, came from outside India! Bots and Twitter accounts from overseas have been consistent feature of the Congress's anti JEE-NEET campaign. There is huge spike in activity by Rahul Gandhi's favourite Turkish bots! What is this Turkish obsession, Rahul?" Also bots, Pakistanis, opposition amplifying the noise. Though I think Modi and co should do more to win confidence of student community. 2. Better than 1st term, I am reasonably happy with his post 2019 performance. 3. He has faced popularity issue before, in late 2018 and early 2019. Part and parcel of politics. Not reading too much into that, just forcus on governance, people are smart enough to do the right thing come election time and we know state of opposition right now. 4. BJP will be in power till 2029, at least. Longer the more Congress holds on to that family. No worries there. If not postponement he should have taken other decisions like increase in centres, transport arrangements, extra attempt to those personally affected by the virus etc. College admissions have lots of $$$ riding on them, many college owners have their own selfish interests, Modi should have taken note of that. What if some students and their family members catch the virus, we all have gone through that phase as teenagers, obviously student community will be stressed cos of this once in a century event. Didn't like the way govt refused to hold talks with the student community. 50% examinees didn't appear for JEE Main in Assam, leave politics aside, is it morally right? Even SC has let students down. In this situation, UGC is hell bent on conducting exams, and on top of that, the TN govt wants students to assemble in person to give their exams, during this COVID situation. Some govt recruitment exams held in UP had close to half a million aspirants, ridiculous situation. Godi media didn't cover that but people were not happy the least bit. How can you not have folks in stadiums but allow 100 examinees in a tiny secondary school classroom? Those who raised their voices over this were insulted by BJP spokies, called Pakistani and what not. Sure some mischevious elements from Pak did jump on the twitter bandwagon but the govt was insensitive. Enough time to arrange more centres, the will was lacking. Exams of any kind can be conducted online, we are moving towards a digital future, how can we expect to be a first world country, when we still rely on old methods, and give excuses like connectivity. Online exams can be conducted, those who have a stable internet connection can write online, and those who don't can give exams publicly, thereby reducing the no of candidates appearing physically, thus making it easier to maintain social distancing. For university exams, it's not even required for final year students. Having studied 7 semesters previously, how is my quality of education or future going to depend on just the 3/4 subjects remaining in the final semester? One can easily be awarded degree based on past semester record, plus the internal marks and assignments of the current semester. Even in hindsight if we think now, lockdown could have been avoided but govt can be given benefit of doubt as no one knew how virus is going behave. We still have reached 40 lacs infection.
