Who will be the next superstar batsman coming from India?

Tendulkar followed Gavaskar and Kohli followed Tendulkar, who will be the guy following Kohli? I thought Shaw would be the guy, but his fitness and work ethics is just not on point. Gill might be the one, but he isn't getting the chances Tendulkar and Kohl got when they were young, maybe team management doesn't see brilliance in him. 

 

or it will be the time we will be without superstar batsman after a long time.

Shubman Gill. 

 

 A superstar batsman is someone for whom we don't need to give excuses, his runs speak for himself. 

This obviously doesn't apply to Kl Rahul bcoz after each failure his fans give excises like how kohli is responsible for it and how he isn't a middle order bat etc etc. 

I am damn sure when Gill gets consistent chances like Rahul we won't need to give excuses for him. 

That's the difference between a Real Superstar and A Tailunt.

We don't need superstars. We need gutsy match winners and super clutch players. Our Superstars have **** their pants with slightest hint of pressure in odi/test. We need players who can play back against the wall innings in important tournaments.

Lol watch Ollie Pope bat in Test cricket & then talk rubbish.  He is 21 & look at his knocks in test cricket.  In limited overs they are miles ahead of us already.

I have seen Ollie Pope, if you want to be a superstar based on test cricket then you need to average 50,who was the last englishman who averaged 50 over his career? 

Only Kp comes close. Also Gill will perform better than Pope in tests, just wait for some time.

Yes we'll see that. Gill has talent but he has to play sooner but that's the thing lolli won't give him many chances.  England has Zak Crawley coming nicely as well.  Test cricket is the real deal.  

In white ball cricket England has plenty of match winners &,  impact players already unlike our stat padders & Accumulator army.

Its going to be Gill. He may debut a few seasons later than he should have but it shouldn't matter as long as he settles quickly and starts performing from the get go.

 

Look at Mayank, he might have debuted a couple of seasons late but because of that, he was able to perform from first match.. that is the benefit of experience. Gill won't need 20-25 tests like kohli to become consistent if he is allowed more time in domestics.

 

Also age is catching up with Saha, he will most likely retire next year which means Pant will regularly play home matches too. If he keeps piling on centuries in test matches, it will be harder to ignore him for LOI squads.. rishab should just keep his head down and stay fit, his time will come

Shaw was the much talked about next to be superstar. So was Gill. Pang is also young and was talked a lot after the OZ test series. Let's see who stakes claim as the superstar in coming years by overcoming their weakness highlighted in international cricket.

Shaw,  Gill,  Pant,  Kishan all these guys have immense talent.  But it won't be far fetched that Ruturaj & Paddikal may become mainstays of Indian batting in coming years.
