What exactly is this league? Bangladesh domestics or Lanka league?

 

The other player needs some basic game awareness to let a keeper go for the catch.

 

Anywhere in SC, there is a superstar and bada  bhai  syndrome

Under Sanga, Mahela, Dilshan there was no ego or dressing room battle. Each of them was comfortable playing under the other guy's captaincy or even under junior Angelo (2013). Difficult to imagine something like that in Pak. In India there was some tension between Dravid/Ganguly, Dhoni/Sehwag, Dhoni/Gambo, more recently Kohli/Rohit could be a flashpoint. Lankans have been more chilled out, they made some rookie captain due to over rate related ban threat, then in 2014 WT20 final skipper Chandimal benched himself cos of poor form and Malinga captained the side.

Ok @maniac didn't see the bada bhai part in your post. You may have a point, I guess Lankans have that 'bada bhai' syndrome but not superstar culture. Other SC teams have both those unwanted traits.

I thought that player was arrested and also banned from cricket for a certain number of years. Didn't follow that case, so unaware of latest developments.

Much understandable with ponting as he might have been a spectator to  somewhat brutal collision of Waugh and Gillespie, but with Rahim, his reaction was pretty Gali cricket like...and Smith looks like that new golu kid in the class who is trying to make friends with everyone but in the attempt ends up rubbing the wrong side of the biggest bully in the class

Some of these collisions can get nasty, can put players out of action for many months or even years. I think this was the 2nd time it happened in the match between those 2 same guys, hence the anger is kinda justified.
