King6 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 If india batsman collapse on tomorrow they have chance. England bowlers have capable to do this.india have less chance imo for winning. India should score 700 plus runs in first innings plus we should bowl well in second innings for winning.
cric_fan Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Draw written all over this match. No way will Ind collapse on this phatta.
kruiser Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Never under estimate India. We are very capable..... of losing 8 wickets in a session. Indian innings can easily end on day 3 nitinbwj 1
ShoonyaSifar Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 (edited) They are the favorites now. Pitch has started to show tricks. In 2016, Karun Nair saved Kohli's a$$ by scoring the 5th fastest triple hundred of all time (and then got dumped by him 3 tests later). Difficult to see who will save him this time as his toxic leadership within 2 days seems to have already alienated others in the team Edited February 6, 2021 by ShoonyaSifar raki05 and RAZPOR 2
Lone Wolf Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Absolutely.. Get Gill & Rohit early & then watch the fireworks. Pant & Gill are key for India in my view. raki05 1
R!TTER Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Can - if I were a betting man Eng win would be the favorite outcome right now!

I'd have the odds much lower than 30 percent if India weren't playing at home after forever. The bigger concern for me is that there's only a 3 day turnaround for next test and our bowlers have a lot of overs in their limbs already. the best way to relieve the bowlers is if Indian bats back to back with a follow on and either manages to draw or lose.
adi B Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 If the pitch breaks which I think it might on day 4-5 ,its game over for India . Gotta get a big first innings score

Also don't forget mighty Bangladesh managed to tame the monster Rohit godzilla. He is very lucky to be playing Instead of our home version of King Kong in Mayank.
Sandeep99 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Everything depends on the openers. Last time we had KL who made 199. Can Gill or Rohit score a big hundred? Pujara, LOL and Rahane will fail under pressure. Have more hope from Pant.
AuxiliA Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 If the openers survive the new ball we will outbat them.
Samcric Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Unfortunately, 2016 series has everyone thinking that India will reply with 700. England are favorites to win this match on a pitch that will deteriorate, India will have to bat time - make sure they keep the English bowlers on the field for 150 overs - even if they score 400-450 only. That means India would bat until after Tea on Day 4 and will have to survive only 2-odd sessions in their second innings. Draw would be the best possible result for India from here on. Similar to Rajkot 2016. nevada 1
Yoda-esque Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 I don't expect us to win it.Every chance of batsmen succumbing to a mammoth score.I predict india will be all out for 350 thereabouts by 4th day post lunch TheWall 1
DeepSpace Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 I am expecting Jofra’s cobras spitting venom off this placid pitch and decommissioning all the India’s batters. nevada 1
jf1gp_1 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Scoreboard pressure could be a problem. we need 365-385 to save follow on which is a big number. I however am glad with the way England has batted. Every commentator or so called expert were getting extremely cocky about India winning 4-0 and our bowling reserve etc. All these guys had dismissed England exactly how Aussies had dismissed us. Hopefully there will be a realization that england can do to india what we did to aussies.
Norman Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 If Kohli goes by tea today....it's curtains for us.
