Virat Kohli's test batting form

Kohli is far better Odi batsman than Sachin ever was at any point in his career. Tests I don’t think Sachin has too many lulls but Sachin never had any dominant series either.

Sachin is one of the most overrated batsman who somehow comes into goat conversation.

Kohli is the better odi player yes imo too but I am not too sure to be honest.

Sachin played with a much inferior bowling unit.

Where is the Anti- Rat thread. Someone pull it please.

Most of people are anti rat because of his genius in captaincy. Today and Adileade first inning was his best in long time but don't act like he did something which others din't as Rohit made 161 and Ashwin 104 in same match.

Pretty sure that thread started up before he was captain...

It's fine, you don't like him.

Form is temporary. Class is permanent.. Virat is just that. Top class.

Make sure you remember that name. Forever imprinted in the hearts of Indian fans.

He is still a dud captain. No two ways about it. He is a damn good player.

Please captain sahib, hand over the captaincy to Rahane or someone else and just focus on playing as a pure batsman. Please.

Virat has become a grinder and accumulator. And he has always been a safety-first approach batter. He knows his limitations as well.

This will ensure some 50s often and 100s here and there when the conditions favor. And that will always give him about safe 40-50 avg , in any "last 10 matches".

But we got to admit that he is not the same batsman he was couple years ago and might never be. So the number of his impactful/dominating innings that blows the opposition away is going to be lesser and lesser. Especially in LOIs where fast scoring is needed.

Amazing batsman.  You guys may hate him.  But as a batsman he is the don of Indian line up.  SIMPLE.  Anyone who does not appreciate his batting shows they no zero about cricket!

Last 10 tests average 53!  Cant wait for him to be in form lol  Just imagine if he gets back to best :phehe:

Rohit was the main man in the first innings and in the second, Ashwin scored quicker and even reached 100 with #11 for company. Kohli is able to get 50s but is struggling to convert to 100 - something he used to do with boring regularity in his pomp. His best days seem to be behind him now. About 12-15 months ago I thought talk of his decline was an overreaction but not anymore. The signs are there. Like he does at RCB, within the Indian team also he can get by playing second fiddle while others take the lead and squeeze out respectable numbers for himself but he has loads to do to recapture the heights of his prime.
