I would start with mine...

I started following cricket in 1996 and was an avid fan until 2003. That final loss in 2003 WC took away the fan from me and I was not that much into cricket between 2004-2011 period. Also, college life & studies back then made it difficult to follow cricket regularly. Then I moved to London in 2012 and being in a new city, I didnt had many friends back then neither I knew many people. It gave me a lot of spare time (vella) and I started following cricket regularly again.

I joined Pakpassion in 2012 during T20 World cup. From there I got to know there is an Indian forum as well and searched for it in google. Then I landed here and been active since. If I recall, the first thread I opened here was 'Srinath vs Zak - who is better seamer?' LOL.  I also got a warning from Ganesharan within 1st month of joining here :whack:

I also joined Bangla cricket forum in 2015 just after the world cup and that was fun. But they blanket ban most Indians as a protest to Dinesh Karthik's innings in Nidahas final.

Also, I have an account in Cornered Tigers forum.

So let us hear your experiences with other forums/websites?

This is hilarious. What was their reaction to losing by 1 run in the last over to India?

Don't have an account on any other cricket forum. I read that redditt is another option. Have been on ICF for around 9 years but I post only about one post a day on average here. So don't really feel the need to open an account on reddit.

ICF is good. Some very knowledgeable people post here.  It is indeed nice to read their posts.

I never liked the layout of reddit and hence never joined.

I joined Pakpassion in 2017 during Champions Trophy, there was a bizarre poster who posted that Allah made Bumrah bowl that no ball because He wanted Pakistan to win.

The cricket section is still tolerable but the real poison is in their politics section, the venom against India particularly Hindus was toxic. I asked mods later to delete my profile and never visited that forum again.

I don't remember when exactly I landed in ICF. It was a few months to a year before Shami debuted. He was called Shami Ahmed back then and was mentioned as an exciting prospect here. Before or probably around the same time, I used to visit  this Gora forum - I think it's called cricweb or something. I found it dry and boring, so I stopped visiting. I heard the words pee pee, padosi forum quite a few times here and visited it out of curiosity and also whenever ICF website was down, which used to happen on occassion a few years ago. I don't even remember the last timeI visited it. To "blend in", I named my handle Jamshed or something like that.

I came from the old ICF (bukhar site), before that was busy on Usenet groups (became dejanews and now bought by google groups). rec.sport, cricket was wild with flame wars (yes that was what Trolling was called then) (Pakistan, Eng, Aus, WI and India) wars of the late 90s till 2010s. I had also opened in caribbean cricket, but was usual in the 2000s with Indian ethnics and blacks fighting it out over racism etc. Got bored, Old ICF was pretty good for 3-4 years till 2007 WC. Went down the hill with Birbal/Anil going into Ganguly camp over some lady (forgot her name/moniker) and Sachin/Dravid camps got pissed off and after the WC loss, moved over here. I was not aware of it until Dhondy invited me over DM (on old ICF).

Have been  to PP, tried to indulge in some debates, but got tired of it, I even trolled  some Indians masquerading as a localguy (called some Bhindians/Banias) etc. But lost interest.

I deleted my FB account, but on FB, TestMatchLovers is a very forum to talk on cricket Test Cricket mainly. But it is a moderated site (private FB group), they won't tolerate any personal/trolling at all. No fun if it is too much moderated.

PP is a confused site...LOL. They are not sure if they want to become a fan discussion forum or a news outlet. Now the only thing they do is promote their main guy's twitter account and ban anyone that questions his sources :p:

Saj seems a bit suspicious, there are rumors that he knew the bookies back in 2010 when Amir bowled no balls.

Ok so been active on forums for a while

-First started with BBC TMS before it got shut down 2005 to 2006.

- Joined a smaller UK based forum in aftermath.

- Make an account on pakpassion. (know one of the ex admins personally and have met up with them). Got banned. Made another id called CousinLover786 and got IP ban.

- Bangla forum was banned pretty quickly as well. Questioned the status of BD as test playing nation.

Joined ICF in 2012.

the big problem for them is that their site admin and leadership is from Kashmir. But those in charge of Pak cricket are from Punjab who look down on them. Never really made a breakthrough they needed to get into the inner circle.

@Austin 3:!6  & @G_B_ ban each and every traitor who has been to PP first.

I was on the Fever site for few months and in Oct 2006 came here. Every now and then we all used to have fun about specific topic on PP so I would eavesdrop on it. I never opened account on any forum whatsoever, not even FB, twitter or whatever else you guys use.

Believe me my life is very peaceful. I have a natural filter on. I dont even use WA as much so i hardly get any trash.

This is a good forum if you care about Indian cricket. Mods are fair and we do have arguments but everyone has their heart in right place. I enjoy 99.9 % of the posters as they have valid points. Most of the posters here are very intelligent.

Regarding my experience all I can say is that I was kicked out of the green forum in under a month. That is fine as I am wired differently than average Pakistani or the Indians on that forum. I am from Delhi and expressing a different viewpoint is part of our makeup. In green forum they expect obedience and toe the party line. If you say something anti Indian you get extra points. I was having none of that and hence got kicked out,.

I am happy to be here annd thankful to all the mods for doing a thankless job.
