WC 2023 loss - Have never been more than 100% sure with any ICC tournament even though it is at home.  I am sure 1987/1996/2011 India were strong favorites to win the cup. No fan probably doubted the team. This is probably the first time fans will be pessimistic about their chances

1987 we were favs, and 2011 we were among the favs. not sure about 1996 to the same degree. WI, for example, was very strong then and could have made it to finals.

Under BJP regime, sports overall has improved leaps and bounds.  India winning highest number of Olympic medals incl.Gold.  Neeraj Chopra kept wholeheartedly praising the govt on twitter for its continued support before and after winning the olympic gold.  Similar positive result also being achieved in Asian Games.  It's a different thing that our A grade Choker Cricket team can't win an icc trophy despite the best of resources.

India needs to give less importance to cricket. It is over-inflated. Try to be more competitive other major sports like football, field hockey and even basketball. Cricket is outdated. With a handful of countries playing, it is not a world sport.

This. A sports which is dominated by conditions/luck than skills, shouldn't be given so much importance.
