Dravid probably knows the ins and outs of what happened between Kumble and RAT. Do you think he would want to coach Team India given RAT's commerce oriented , anti-merit captaincy ? According to me if you refuse to serve your nation's team just because of one Incident or one person than you aren't dedicated enough. Rat told BCCI that he wanted Kumble out and BCCI obliged. Forced resignations are quasi sackings . Rat is a tyrant. Tell me one senior player that gets along well with him. Please explain why RCB has not sacked this chutya from captaincy after 10 plus years of failure ??? He is an effing tyrant, humiliating him and CRUSHING his ego by sacking him from captaincy is the only way forward in Indian cricket. Lone Wolf Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Dravid comes as rule book kinda fellow. Extremely likeable but may not go the extra mile to get the desired result. In short follow the process type. This is not how Indian cricket is supposed to go. Dravid is ideal for teams like Lanka Bangladesh who lack resources & Talent pool is smaller. We need either a guy like Ponting who can lift the team up or a shrewd tactician like Mahela. Both of them have experience working with Indian players.

If Ravi is gone, do some drastic changes in LOI outfit. Kick Virat out from captaincy. Get a new coach and captain in LOI. For test, get another coach ( not LOI) and give free and to captain Kohli there. However, BCCI wont do it for sure. For BCCI, kohli is the captain for all format doesn't matter what he does or doesn't.

Well we do have a near contemporary cricketer/former captain and what betterment do we see ? ZILCH Our former greats lack the guts to take hard decisions for the betterment of Indian cricket because they fear a fallout. While Ganguly has always been political in his approach even during playing days, SRT has been excessively meek and more keen to maintain his goody good please all decision and sit on the fence. We need someone within BCCI who has the guts to sack RAT from captaincy. Under_Score 1

This exactly is the problem with people like you, hate his captaincy not his persona, he hasn't done any personal damage to you. He has failed as a captain of a cricket team, that's where it ends.
