 Then you have to look back from 2019 onwards , what happens when he gets attacked and what was his performance against WI , ENG , NZ  on a goodish pitch.  Has delivered in few matches in between at the most.

the only they overdid with spinners is 2 left arm spinners.....one shudnt have been their instead they shud have gone  for a seamer or thakur 

They gave them every kind of options n thats how it shud. Their shudnt be a fixed bowling lineup in t20..............study matchups, opposition , condition n play bowling attack acc too it

 

Selection of every kind of spinner is job well done. Now TM doesnt want study matchups n play with one fixed formula they havent evolved .

Dhoni's appointment has a very clear conflict of interest. BCCI coaches are not allowed to do any coaching gigs in IPL. How can an active player and a franchise captain be appointed as a mentor of the team (even if he is not getting paid). Expecting this to go to BCCI's ethics ombudsman.

As already indicated I had to do a double take to make sure dhawan wasn't there. This is a fantastic squad otherwise with the ashwin inclusion bring a pleasant surprise. If natarajan has a good ipl we should try to find a place for him or d chahar. I guess with Bhuvi already there they don't want one more bowler who is very similar. Hedging bets on different type of spinners is better.

Though the selectors showed good sign, Not gonna read too much into the squad. Still lot of days left. Just need to think about the difference between original squad of 2019 wc and the one that remained at the semis. So many injuries and niggles can happen in the ipl esp to Bhuvi and Hardik. So I guess we are gonna see a different team in the KOs.

 

Just hope the likes of Dhawan, Pandey, Chahal etc dont have a stellar IPL.

 

 

And more, hope no one contracts Covid in the middle and pulls the curtain to the tournament.

Chetan Sharma gave amazing reasons for adding..  Kishan Rahul Chahar & Varun C

 

For Kishan he said attacking player vs spin & a left hander to counter opposition leggies & as a 3rd opener as well

 

For Rahul Chahar & Axar he said we need spinners who can bowl quicker through the air

 

For Varun C he said he is a surprise factor & mystery spin option. 

 

That's how we saw these bold picks over duds like Dhawan & Chahal.

doesnt have to be same 2-3 spinner everytime. We can change according to opposition.
