Make Rishabh Pant the captain in all 3 formats

apart from the fact that both are keepers there isn't that much of similarity between Pant and Dhoni personality wise. From what i've seen in ipl at least he is more expressive with his emotions. Of course when Dhoni got handed the captaincy in 2007 after the disastrous WC few thought at the time that he would be upto the task. On that point there are perhaps similarities.

Another total selfish guy . He will be even more vengeful to just latch on to it as long as possible.

He is talented but works well individually and not as a collective personality except when he works with Dhoni (CSK recent 37 runs is one example). I feel only Dhoni knew how to get through to him.

I hate the fact that we say make this guy captain the moment he makes his place in the team.

I propose that we have a multi-format captaincy, and a 3 year time cap in each format that can be extended to 5 year time cap, if there's a trophy to show.

Yup ran set batsmen out and didn't want to sacrifice. Then that famous spat with Raina who managed to stay calm.

I would love to see Bumrah become captain.

He is too much of an introvert. All accounts say he just cuddles down with books and hardly interacts with other players off field

Did your phuphi provide you with that gossip?

Its common knowledge, growing up he was so introverted he was almost mute. He had said so in many interviews

Not saying that Bumrah should be the captain but on the topic of introverts, they can make good leaders too. There are books and articles available on the pros of introverts as leaders.

I wohld like to see how many of them were leaders in sports, where leadership is different than say, being the CEO of a firm

Difficult to say who is an extrovert or introvert based on just watching the game, but based on my perception:

Clive Lloyd

Allan Border

Kapil Dev

Stephen Fleming

Steve Waugh

Rahul Dravid

Shaun Pollock

Eoin Morgan

have a non playing captain.. who goes for the toss and selects the final XI.. on field job can be done by the VC or instructions sent during drink breaks. Plenty of candidates for that including Ashwin the shrewd brain, Dhoni and even Dravid/ Kumble

Thats the not the worst option by any means. There are occasions I strongly agree with @Khota and the below is one such instance
