May be some of them did their time too..But if you're being popular, there is always publicity and people go after them...Happens in any part of the world.

Like this kannada actress sanjana who spent 82 days in Jail for doing drug..

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bengaluru/drugs-case-actress-sanjjanaa-galrani-gets-bail-walks-out-of-prison-after-82-days/articleshow/79679231.cms

Or this actress Ragini who spent more than 4 months

https://www.indiatoday.in/movies/regional-cinema/story/supreme-court-grants-ragini-dwivedi-bail-in-sandalwood-drug-case-1761287-2021-01-21

You may get bail easily for doing drugs, but police can always put a case on trafficking for the procession or transfer of a drug.

These two were not held for possession , but they were involved in communicating with a drug syndicate dealing with crores of ganja consignment. They were investigated to get them out some of the drug peddlers' names.

Multiple sources discussing that he was booked for consumption (doing drugs( and not possession (peddling)

https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/ncb-seizes-contraband-from-aryan-khan-books-him-under-4-sections-of-ndps-act-1860286-2021-10-03

Khan was placed under arrest on Sunday at 2pm, for involvement in consumption, selling and purchasing of contraband. The accused have been arrested in connection with the seizure of 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA(ecstasy) and Rs1.33 lakhs in cash.”

That looks like serious stuff.

Recreational stuff is weed....this looks hardcore.

I see a lot of people come to his defense. Wanted to ask those people 2 things a) people want to give Aryan a break, basically they are advocating law does not apply to man-child of rich and famous b) I would never want my child around a 24 year old druggie in jail who lives off his dad and unlikely to work ever in his life. Unless you feel your kid is safe with someone like this, by all means do defend him and his actions

What has being rich/middle class/poor got to do with it?

Rich people have access to everything that money can buy. But the mind is not satisfied with just expensive cars, gadgets, designer fashion, etc. Material possessions give a momentary high which fades as the newness wears off. The mind wants more, a "high" that can beat the boredom of a rich but clean life. Adventure beckons, a crossover to the dark side is a strong temptation as friends insist that <<insert drug name>> is the "real deal".

What has drugs got to be do with rich and poor?

Many engineering students from middle class do the same. Are they bored of being rich?

Different class of consumers have different reasons.  A middle class kid could be doing drugs to momentarily escape the "ordinariness" of his middle class life.

Same thing is done by middle class people.

It's not a rich/poor thing. It's age thing.

The outrage should have started when SRK endorsed Pan masala. A guy selling education and pan masala should be more shocking.

These so called superstars like SRK  and Amitabh bachchan have no shame when it comes to money. Shameless superstars.

How will be stop his son if he is endorsing pan masala.

Agree 150%! Both have cheapened themselves massively. Amitabh especially is a big letdown. He had a status no other star had but in the desperation to work himself out of bankruptcy, he did all kinds of kachra roles and ads. Yesteryear legends were very conscious about maintaining their star status and image and used to do limited roles but Amitabh just commoditized himself.

Shahrukh in his earlier years had the reputation of being a small time producer friendly hero but all that changed after he bought the sea facing bungalow for some 40-45 crores in the late 90s, which was a massive amount back then. To finance this purchase, he upped his price and took on loads of work. Since a few years, his star has been down while Salman and Aamir are still going strong despite being the same age. No one knows how profitable his investment is in the KKR franchise. He must be under heavy financial pressure to be doing pan masala ads. Nothing wrong endorsing products but at-least maintain a level of dignity and credibility!
