Clarke Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 I remember Waqar & others produced sonic boom while bowling phaassht, the turbulence was however not distracting batsmen PS: Waste of a thread considering this was about Umran rollingstoned, raki05 and Norman 2 1

Jay Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 (edited) Umran is good but he is lacking bounce. Bounce comfortfoods aka fake srt100. Sucked enough for today ya dog? Bounce is lacking. Do you understand? He is still good. Do you get it? Bounce is key. Samja? Pace alone is not enough. Otherwise he will just be phasst trundling bowler like the cans of Pakistanies. You know. Your countrymen. Variations like in swing outswin he can learn it later as he gets better but bounce generated separates the best from the rest. Edited April 5, 2022 by Jay
vvvslaxman Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Didn't see it. Like all pacers he will also travel from time to time. Remember how Gayle massacred Brett Lee, Jayasuriya/Sehwag did against Akhtar. Given his height, he can be like Shami. With good seam position his fuller length balls will be lethal. Jay 1
Vijy Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 he is continuing to bowl fast, which I am happy to see. I hope he adds a bit more variation without dropping pace
putrevus Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 As long he is bowling fast , he should be fine. To expect too many variations from a rookie is bit too much. Only thing he needs to do bowl keeping bowling fast and develop atleast one wicket taking delivery. He has aggression which is very nice.
bharathh Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 He comes across more like a Mohd Sami than a wicket taking bowler. Ball goes fast to the boundary as well. Hopefully, he improves soon.

DarkProfile Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 IMO, not ready for Australia. Throwing him prematurely there can backfire splendidly and may do serious harm to his confidence.

He gets good bounce from the surface, hence even top edges are flying to the boundary. If we can groom him for Test cricket, he would be an invaluable resource to have on tours away from home. express bowling 1
Vijy Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 in the last 2 matches, his pace has been as good as ever, but he has improved a lot. rapid rate of improvement augurs well for future Sgattick10, Mosher and Texan 3
