At least Dhoni has that 18 off 6 last innings. What has Morgan done?

Morgan is the biggest freeloader in this IPL. Even captaincy wise, Gambhir had said that the video analyst does all the work and Morgan just nods his head. He is very lucky to be captain, otherwise there is no chance he would have been in the playing 11.

And his contribution for England is way overhyped and overplayed. What exactly has he done specifically?

He's a black hole in their middle order.

3 NPA's in Playoffs ideally..  Koli Thala Morgue..  Would have been hilarious if Rohit had somehow squeezed through as well.

Why is Dhoni in that list?

Dhoni's 18(6), astute captaincy and bowling changes should count for something!

Who according to you has been a good captain in this version of the IPL, if Dhoni is an NPA?

Dhoni is best captain among all & I have said it earlier in some thread as well that he alone is an automatic selection based on his captaincy skill.  Only he can make this CSK line up consisting of has beens look like world beaters

He actually told everyone to go and play attacking cricket with certain S/R. If players get out playing attacking shots he will only be replaced if there is more consistent and higher S/R is avaialble. So he backed players on odi skill instead of stellar test match technique.

Offcourse, there is small matter of couple of trophies in ECB cabinet other then that urn.

Dhoni as well is a good keeper, atleast he contributes to the team in that way apart from captaincy.

Morgan on the other hand has been poor on the field and has dropped from dollies. DK also helps h out with the field setting and talking to bowlers.

Also Dhoni has the helicopter shot. It's very random and can dent the confidence of any bowler, even the inform ones.

Morgan has to be one of the luckiest captains ever in the IPL.

Morgan as an English captain deserve some credit for building a free flowing side. KKR success goes to Gambhir who came up with this template of covering all the bases. If you look at Gambhirs KKR there also openers came out firing on all cylinders.  He also managed to have both spin and pace combo. In some matches he would totally abandon spin in some matches hd would abandon pace. A versatile captain created this template for them.
