sarcastic Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Common for God's sake, Afghanistan had 4 runs less than India on board when they got onto the field defending their total. Yet, the innings was watchable and felt like any team can win the match up until 17-18th over. I would have expected team India to at least give me this kind of fight and got beaten by a better team on that day (or a team in better form).
Pollack Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Even NZ gave good fight. In our case Bhuvi and Shami were bowling like pedestrian. Bumrah is a choker. Spinners did ok. raki05, Lord and Sunil_narine024 1 2
Lone Wolf Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Issue is not our batting.. They will click more often than not. But our bowlers are absolute disgrace. They lack zip & movement as simple as that. Jaddu is not even a spinner. He is cannon fodder in this format. Anyone can line him up. diehardpacer, cricketfan28, sage and 1 other 4
zen Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 What AFG may lack in talent relative to top teams, it makes it up in fighting spirit, which is world class.
I6MTW Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 As soon as AFG can sort out their Pace bowling and improve their batting to bat longer periods, AFG can contend for big titles. Right now their spin attack is single-handedly carrying their team. Fielding and fitness can be better as well. Sunil_narine024 1
mishra Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Very well played Afghanistan. I still think had they chased, they would have definitely won this match. Indwin and raki05 1 1

Clearly better than these Sunil_narine024 1
Chakdephatte Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) India's biggest weapon, Shardulkar, was missing. Playing Shami and Bhuvi together was a blunder. Bumrah bowled just one over till the 11th over. On a good day, our bowling will run through that Pakistani lineup, not that they are weak, though. If we had Siraj, we would have better chances Edited October 29, 2021 by Chakdephatte raki05 and Sunil_narine024 2
Bigg Brother Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 LOL..They definitely did. Nobody will come close to what we did on 24th. That was disgraced 10 wicket loss.
Popular Post express bowling Posted October 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) Indian white ball attack is one of the weakest attacks in the world. We just love to live in denial about it. 1) Our fast bowlers can bowl 135 k to 145 k all day in test matches ... but don't want to bowl any quicker in T20s, while every other country does and succeeds. 2) Many of our Fast bowlers don't want to practice and develop yorkers and slower balls. 3) Our selectors are enamoured by medium pacers. They keep selecting them although none of them have great careers. 4) Our spinners are too defensive. 5) Most of our Captains and bowlers prefer to.control runs rather than pick wickets .. but this approach does not work in modern LOIs. Even in odis, they bowl defensive line. Our pacers do not attack stumps. Remember asif Ali hit couple of Sixes to Southee. He in turn hit him on helmet. That kind of aggressin when a havk is attacking you is missing. We need to do what we do in test. Couple of wides won’t make any difference as long as you let the hacks know their place. AKane Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Hmm.... this means if we lose the toss to Afghanistan - we could lose to them? So New Zealand match is important but winning that is not a guarantee of qualification. Excellent! Will hopefully keep Kohli's ego in control. On another note - dew or no dew, trundler or big trundler..... why do Indian bowlers have to bowl on legstump and worse? Mind boggling if it is planned.

cricketfan28 Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 bowlers should be blamed .. they were bad .. 152 is more than what AFG and NZ made and we made 150 without sarma and rahul, thanks for great fight back from kohli and pant, Indwin 1
