Rohit & Kohli complete the quadruple fail in 2021

First, WTC final fail.

Second, Ind was on the verge of winning a rare away series in Eng. These two created the drama when many of us would have played the 5th test. The test is now rescheduled with India having to start from zero on the next tour.

Third, in IPL. Both captains failed to win IPL 2021.

Fourth, T20 World Cup 2021. Only a theoretical chance remain after losses to Pak and NZ (Most fans probably do not even want to see more of India). Probably, the seeds were sown in that England series where they opted to move out of a practically "won" series.

Its a quadruple with ICC WTC final lost with both these players giving a flop batting/captaincy. That loss irks more than the T20 WC performance so far.

They have been absymal these days. The problem is that they still manage to cash a lot of runs in bilateral LOIs these days. But somehow don't have a memorable knockout game to their name.

Rohit was not a complete flop for ICC WTC final. In fact, he has the most runs aggregate from India and second most even if considering NZ (and only behind Kane).

Rohit has been a hero carrying the country in tests as well with an ATG opener average. Zen is just obsessed with him

How did MSD carry the white ball team?

Kuch bhi.

By losing T20 wc in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and ODI WC 2015. But also Won 3 out of 10 ICC trophies he captained.

In 2021

Rohit helped the team win in Australia

Was the best batsman vs England on some of the toughest test pitches

Was the best batsman for India in England tests.

Has been the best test batsman in the world this year after Root.

But ever since his 5 100s in the 2019 WC, someone has lost his/her/their marbles. Pandya's repeated failures and him being on the verge of getting dropped for non-performance seems to have loosened a few more screws.
