Long back , kumble was humiliated by a monkey . A monkey who has killed our hopes of any trophies based on his idiotic captaincy . kumble as coach was needed to counterbalance a crazy monkey . Instead we got another soothsayer bewda who only had more beer with monkey . 
 

Lots of fans here opined and sad bad things about kumble

I don't think these over-fed  superstars and larger than life figures are happy with Dravid coming in as well  - We all know Dravid's legacy and humility and intent - he will not tolerate a lot of superstar culture in the dressing room and some players are already uneasy with that.

As a coach though, he has been a letdown in the IPL. Captaincy is a whole different thing.

This is like setting goals for an employee even before the interview … leave Dravid alone .. I hope after this debacle he doesn’t take the job ..

Dravid might be okay. Good number of players have worked with him in India A or u19. Guys like Kohli or Rohit will be more willing to take input after this tournament. And he has BCCI backing. So, in a pinch, he won’t be rolled over.

Oh I'm sure he'd be okay , I am fully backing Dravid to make changes and be on top of the things but the poor culture in the dressing room wouldn't want Dravid in there. 

I hope BCCI backs Dravid and not give in like how they did before during Kumble's time

BCCI will do whatever Rat and other "superstars" tell them to. it is the most spineless and short-sighted organization that I've seen. there was a period when it genuinely improved but now we are back to 90s, almost on the level of ind hockey under Gill

He is a man of integrity . And along with dravid , Was a champion inspite of his limitations .never arrogant .

I don’t think so. Ganguly has a pretty big ego of his own. And he will back his own ex team mate and choice for coach- Rahul Dravid. Also, Dravid is a pretty low key person. The superstars will respect him. His role could be similar to Gary Kirsten’s. He will do what he can to get the guys prepared but won’t seek the limelight.

these changes that were rung upstairs before the tournament began definitely had a role to play in this debacle. Kohli also hasn't seemed himself in both the matches i've seen, even considering the fact that he's extremely disagreeable. there is little benefit to undercutting a captain's authority and still letting him retain that position.

This is a decision that might make Dravid regret worse than his ill-timed declaration on Sachin.

If a tiff happens again, it won't be the coach who steps down this time. Last time kohli was in form of his life and only lost CT 2017 as captain. Now he has lost every icc competition with terrible personal form as well

There were 2 instances where we selected player brand over professionalism and that set the tone for the future

 

1) When selectors were sacked  by BCCI because they dared to think of removing Dhoni from captaincy

 

2) When Kohli chose to sack Coach and BCCI  took captains side 

 

Its funny that some fans were cheering both these decision not understanding the long term effects of such unprofessionalism and giving players so much power
