Bhuvi was a decent utility cricketer in his prime. That’s about it. If you want to narrow it down to T20 then Afridi and Umar Gul are better than Kumble and Zaheer Khan. Doesn’t prove anything. raki05 1
Frustrated Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 (edited) After the embarassing exit from WC2015, the Eng ODI squad went through massive revamp. And it is now showing in their results. They got destructive batsmen like Roy, Bairstow and many others. India too faced similar humiliation in 2021 T20 WC but instead of undergoing revamp, all we get to see is the return of TTFs who are proven failures. As someone pointed out, Bcci is running like a sarkari institution or even worse. Safe to say, Indian cricket is dead. Edited November 9, 2021 by Frustrated raki05 and Norman 2
maniac Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 (edited) England played Newzealand in a home series after their humiliating 2015 exit. That was the start of the English white ball revolution. India plays Newzealand in a home series after a humiliating exit in Wt20 and we are still stuck with Bhuvi and other crap. India adopting a new approach is going to remain a pipe dream. Utter nonsense if Bhuvaneshwar Kumar ever plays for India ever again. I actually liked the Pak cricket team if not for their rabid hate toward any non Muslim Indian I might actually cheer for their cricket alone.
Vilander Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 If bhuv continues to play it will probably be a non emotional decision to stop following India in loi lol cause it will be indeed boring to see him trundle.

We can't keep producing Krunal Pandya, Chahal, Avesh, Bhuvi and start to act like we have Roy, Stokes, Buttler, Bairstow. At this point, I feel India doesn't have the fire for any revolution if they wanted one. maniac 1

Bakis for all their flaws have thrown Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah into the ring even before they could barely shave. Nagarkoti and Mavi bowled faster and better than Afridi in the u19 world cup and look where they are now - thats right no where to be seen. We need to learn the art of identifying and grooming fast bowlers. Fast bowlers are born - they're not made. Pick the right guys and teach the skills. Bhuvanesh Kumar is a tremendous bowler but without pace, he is a human teletubby. This was a good opportunity to bring someone like Umran Malik into the fold and have him taste international cricket. mishra 1

He will do well in the series eventually. But why invest on somebody when you can rely on him in crunch matches? Edited November 9, 2021 by asterix Adamant and New guy 2
rkt.india Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Chetan chacha hame 80s me le ke jayenge vapas.
rkt.india Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Fast bowling options from this squad only Siraj has any future. Avesh has decent skills of slow ball and Yorkers, can also hit good pace at times but still not convincing enough. First thingbhe needs to do is go to gym, become fitter stronger.

IPL can not be avoided by our players and hence I say, lets assume that every player in India will give 100% to IPL and still we have a set of players available depending upon tournament/series. ie I am not proposing to keep Bhuvi as regular and choose him ahead of our young pacers. What I am arguing is worlkload balancing. Rested arm makes massive difference. Only reason we won test series in England was we had Umesh and Shardul available and raring to go in last match. Bhumrah gave more than 100% in that series and needed rest from IPL, if we wanted him to perform in ICCt20 wcup. MI didnt go into playoffs but the way we played, is more down to captaincy
vivek04 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Tremendous decision for the indian cricket. He is one of the very best amongst all the Indian talent and deserves to be included in the team which is having limited vision .
zubinpepsi Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 looks like we learnt nothing from this WT20.. Bhuvi needs to be shunned out of Indian team.. should never be in the playing XI in any format.. speedheat 1
