3 world cup series, 1 win  1 tie, 1 loss. Better than most indian captains and way better than kohli. Only some aussie captains can claim a better result

 

So no idea why he is being looked down on.  No other indian captain apart from dhoni has done better.

This doesn't make sense. No other captains from any coubtry has done better. Only some aussie captains or dhoni has done better. All other captain from every country has won 1 trophy max,  whether it's imran or kapil or morgan. So has Williamson 

 

So no, he didn't just achieve more than  other NZ captains, he achieved more than 99% captains of every team and on par with legends like kapil, imran, etc

Having said this, coming to many finals is a great achievement but only if those appearances are converted to championships, will they be remembered.
I remember how Ganguly used to be taunted to come all the way to finals in so many series only to loose in the finals.

But for New Zealand, what KW achieved is a great improvement. From being "Semi final specialists", they have become "Final specialists". Hopefully, they will soon replicate the success of great teams such as WI of 70s/80s and Aus of noughties.

It is not just Kohli or NZ, we have poor record in ICC knockouts since 2015.

Have only beaten Bangladesh in ICC Knockouts after 2014.

I was hoping NZ would change their habit of falling at the final hurdle but it turned out to be another one sided loss to their nemesis Australia. Maybe half the battle is lost or won before stepping on the field!
