In fact, if he played during the 90s his batting even at the end of his career would have been totally fine.

Dhoni captained India to win T20 WC in SA and Champions Trophy in England, not sure what you talking about. He was a very good LOI captain especially in his first 5 to 6 years as captain.

I was talking about post 2013. We dint play 2015 tournament in Asia or 2019. Although 2014 imo was an abberation. It was unexpected. We should have won that year. 

 

I have No doubts about us winning in 2015 WC had it happened In Asia.

Of course he was good, because Dhoni was there basically leading the side. Kohli was captain only on the team sheet.

 

Dhoni controlled the field, bowlers and what and when to do in T20 and ODIs.

For me it seems like the two losses to Pak in ICC tournaments cost Kohli his captaincy.  I think the old guard at BCCI who built that legacy over the years must have been pissed off.
