He is our best left arm option in test cricket especially in NZ, SA conditions

A lot here and on SM mock players like him, Dodda Ganesh, etc who failed in International circuit need to realize that they have achieved so much that none of them can do what they have done in domestic cricket for their states and teams to get that national call. Everybody can dream can’t they?

there's also prasidh, avesh, and mavi, all of whom are promising to varying degrees and suitable in certain conditions.

Not sure if all of these have better FC numbers than Unadkat. Plus he brings the left arm factor. Unadkat can be brought in if he need arises but he is complaining unnecessarily when there are so many others patiently waiting.

unadkat's pace is no longer suitable for int'l level. FC records mean little when one does not have a min pace. this issue was discussed ad infinitum in other threads (the one on "Speeds of indian..."). vinay kumar is another bowler who was clearly short of int'l class.
