Point of 31 year old Jayant Yadav in the ODI squad?

Even Ashwin himself shouldn't have been selected. Why are we giving this guy a chance at this age.

Its not as if he was selected initially - clearly Sundar is the man tapped for that spinner/batsman slot in white ball cricket.  Jayant is a covid sub.  He was already there in SA.

Like whom? R chahar, chakrvarthy? Indian fans need to stop overrating these so called great young talents, none of them are good enough bar Siraj, gaikwad and gill, some fake hype around chahar was created, the guy can't even land 4 deliveries on the spot, Sundar himself is a darter at best, decent test prospect, has zero power with the bat and it's been evident in the ipl, not a single substantial innings in the ipl after 4/5 seasons.

Rinse and repeat... the Indian selectors lack vision. They just want to satisfy all the zones and different teams. Jayant Yadav should be nowhere near the Indian team.

Obviosuly he is a sub and doesnt find a place in playing 11. So no harm utilising a player who is already in the team than sending an youngster only to be dropped when Sundar is available next series without giving an opportunity to play.
